Sunrise Oasis Hotel & Waterpark

Just got back from a 10 day break at Oasis Sunrise and had an incredible time with my family. Hotel rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. Food was excellent and plenty of options everyday at breakfast, lunchtime and dinner as well as being able to order snacks at the poolside restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Having sunbeds reserved for your stay is a fantastic idea and there were no issues when I requested to move sunbeds after the first day. The water slides are fantastic fun and well run and the kids pool is great for younger children. My children loved the daily activities from the team, especially football on the futsal pitch just outside the hotel entrance. Already planning our next trip!

We were in room 134 on corner view of the water park only. Sun in morning. Not much open in Cyprus first week in April. So restricted to hotel. Pool was ice cold, water park fun but also very cold for the kids. Food lovely, dining room gets very busy, as not huge, not much seating. Sunbeds are allocated on day one so choose wisely where you want to sit. Kids are allocated a bean bag not a bed. Towels changed daily. Staff are fantastic, from bar staff to reception to animation team and pool towel man. All happy and friendly. Bus directly outside that takes you to town 2euro each. A really lovely place to stay, I think it will be better in the summer months. Evening entertainment a bit questionable, but so awful it’s funny. Our little one loved his time in kids club and the park. Not much on for the older kids.

Best hotel ever. Lovely food, very clean room with air con- a dream after a day in the hot summer sun, the waterslides are fun but dont lie down on ur stomach on the inclosed ones- from experience its a bit bumpey, the QR codes on the assined sunbeds are genious, the burgers and chips are lovely, perfect location and good entertainment. Nice staff too.

Food was good and Chef always helpful with dietary needs. Loved the garlic pizza, mash & beef stifado. Rooms clean, big, aircon microwave 2.ring cooker & fridge. Lovely balcony & great sea view for us. Only downfall was tv in lounge and not bedroom & only 4 channels. Main pool clean, plenty of sunbeds that are allocated on arrival for whole stay. We requested a move from the grass area to poolside & those in charge obliged. Pool bar staff were fun, friendly & very efficient. Evening entertainment was a bit hit & miss. Pretty substandard acts. Forget daytime activities because I think the animation team did! I agree with another reviewer the 3 have no talent, dont interact with guests & look awkward on the few occasions they made announcements. Neither knew how to use the microphone so you could actually understand what they were saying through the crackly single speaker. We usually join in any games but never knew where to go except the 2 water activities which were a shambles. Aqua aerobics consisted of hand movements ! Oh there was a small basketball net floating around with one child using it but never any activity from those supposed to be organising it. Majority of staff were nice & friendly but we had an issue with being served bottled sparkling water on 3 occasions with one barman extremely rude and arrogant in the way he stated we had to pay even though its part of AI. We explained reception had told us to the contrary but only when the receptionist came with us did he serve it to us. This caused us embarrassment in front of other guests. It was reported to public relations who apologised & claimed he said we asked for still water which is a total lie as we could get that from the self serve machine plus reception were already aware of the previous 2 occasions we specifically for sparkling water. The same happened to friends who wanted water. Apparently you have to pay for still water in plastic bottles because it is filtered. That's not a problem but staff should be trained to convey this to guests not just say 'you have to pay'. Public relations apologised but the four of us were too intimidated to use the inside bar again because of the manner of the barman towards us. This was our friends 2nd visit to the hotel but they nor us would ever return. Only the waterpark makes it 4 star, 3 star food, 2 star entertainment, 1 star animation. Far better hotels in Cyprus for a lot less money.

Overall, a brilliant hotel and we had a great stay and our first in Protarus. For us, we had a 17 and 10 year old. The pools and slides were great, although main pool was freezing.. it was ok when in. I swam in the adult pool too, without reserving a sunbed. We had sun beds in the grassed area which has sun until around 3:30pm October. The ones at the back left corner facing hotel had sun the longest. Our bean bags were taken a couple of times if we weren’t down straightaway, but the staff told us to get any others empty - fair enough. The entertainment was very mixed for us, couple of times the kids activities didn’t happen, there wasn’t always music round the pool but the days with the sax and violin were nice and chilled. Tried the nighttime once, sorry, but the male singer was laughable and really bad!.. we didn’t stay in for the rest. The dine out option was perfect for us as a family and offered the variety away from the hotel we needed. All the restaurants we booked were amazing! We found the lunch buffet and pool bar food brilliant. The evening, often I found it cold and a bland choice compared to the fresh day time. All the staff were friendly. Drinks nice and strong and in plastic or glass.. hate being served drinks in paper cups on holiday :-) We had room 407, limited sea view. Overlooking lidl was entertaining and plenty going’s on! :-) We are considering returning if we can find a good deal. Cost 4.4K for a week!

What they do is great. First time in hotel as we could not get our preferred. Rooms amazing. Food was great. Allocated sun beds. Just a couple of negatives but by far outweighed by positives. Food in a small area was amazingly delivered. Cleaning was good. Receptionist great. Towel and pool guy was just amazing. Well informed and helpful
