I never usually leave reviews but feel like I have to as I don’t believe the 4/5 rating on trip advisor reflects this hotel at all. Upon checking into our first room, we noticed it had hardly been cleaned since the last guests. Dirty microwave, coffee spilt all up the wall and skirting boards, grease all over the TV, cupboards and doors. Hairs in the bed, blood on the bathroom floor, food receipts from previous guests. When reporting this to reception we didn’t receive an apology just that they would send cleaners up. We declined this as we had been travelling since 3am. The receptionist put me on the phone to someone who I believe was her boss for me to explain the whole situation again. Only after this were we then moved to a different room which was slightly better but still appalling, the cleaning was basically none existent. The microwave was filthy again along with the fridge, hairs everywhere, muck in the shower tray and razor protectors from the previous guests. The cleaners were sent up but this didn’t make much difference. Again no apology of the inconvenience caused we just had to put up with their standards of ‘clean’. The next day we were left an apology note along with a bottle of Prosecco but first impressions are always the most important and this didn’t help improve the situation at all. Throughout our stay our room wasn’t cleaned, only our beds were made and towels replaced. I wouldn’t recommend staying in this hotel unless you like to stay in the previous guests filth.
