Visited recently, this is our third time to Cyprus and our third time to a different Atlantica hotel. First thing to mention no drink offered on arrival, seems to me that should be the first thing they ask after welcoming you. We found the reception staff to not be overly friendly, we had and issue, in fact the whole hotel had an issue on Sunday 29th September where power kept cutting out this in turn caused your lights to come on in the room followed by a ringing of the phone this happened every half hour from 3.30am until 6.00am when we went and mentioned this, barring in mind we didn’t no at this point what was going on, the lady on reception was abrupt with her response as if we were supposed to know what had happened, this was to multiple guests. Also one final thing to note about the receptionist, when we went to check out, I handed over the cards and she replied ‘thank you’ that was it, no, how was your stay or hope to see you again, just no common courtesy. Room looked nice on arrival, fridge was stocked with various beverages, and snacks, free for al inclusive, on the side was some water and apples. It had plenty of storage space, a big walk in shower, a hairdryer, and complementary, hair shampoo and conditioner and hand soap. Couple things we didn’t like first was the air con would only go to 23.c which to us was still way uncomfortable to sleep in, secondly the balconies in our bloke were completely open so no privacy whatsoever from any side or front. The food was your normal al inclusive free for all the area is small for the size of the hotel but we did always find something to eat and it was flavoursome, you have a few coffee and tea machines wouldn’t take long to get a queue but that’s pretty standard. The staff would always sort you out a seat inside or outside was usually a wait for outside but we were happy with just sitting inside, for lunch and dinner they bring drinks to your table. You could order snacks at the Aqua bar from 10.00 to about 5.30pm was supposed to be 6.00pm but we went a couple times at 5.40pm and was abruptly told, no, no cooking no more, fair enough say till 5.30 then. Can’t comment on the al carte restaurants as didn’t use them. Both pools bars the staff were friendly, efficient and made tasty cocktails this was from 10.00am until 6.00pm, only let down was the lobby bar that would open at 5.00pm till late, would of liked to see that opened through the day so you could have a drink in a glass sat on the balcony area, that is what they do at the other Atlantica hotels we have stayed in. The pool areas are obviously busy and you need to be up early to get prime real estate seats as your usual sun bed hoggers are out in full force, this didn’t bother us as we like to chill out the way and never had an issue getting a sun bed away from the pool. The splash park is great for children and us adults, it’s pretty mush identical to the at the Mare village. They have one pool table which costs €1 which is very fai
