Cala D or Apartamentos

Excellent.. hidden gem. Rooms were great very spacious & modern environment. The pool was clean.. but freezing! The bar staff were really good.. very happy & really helpful. We arrived at 12am very tired after the journey, trying to get to reception was a trek , there’s no signage to tell you where to go to reception, from the entrance. Very daunting that late at night. The only complaint was our sheets weren’t changed by day 5, I had to request clean sheets. Great hotel in general , definitely re visit.

The hotel was excellent, the staff were very helpfull, the entertainment boy was Great, young Portoguese boy called Jose . The room was very well equipped and the cleaners were excellent. My only criticisms the WiFi was terrible and a phone to the reception should be installed for emergencies, I had an accident and couldn’t get help because the Wi-Fi was so bad I couldn’t get a connection through my mobile phone to call for help. I had to basically drag myself to the balcony and call for help by shouting to someone on a lower floor over the balcony. An ambulance was then called tobtak me to hospital for treatment by the duty manager I believe.

At the price point, I cannot fault Cala D'Or. The staff are attentive and friendly (but leave you to enjoy your holiday), the hotel is spotless from the reception, pool area, rooftop 'solarium' and of course the apartment/room. As a couple, the one bedroom apartment proved to be the perfect size, with an offer to clean and replace towels each day (except Sunday - which is fine). Beds on the slightly firm side, but seems typical for holiday destinations like this, and perfectly comfortable. Bathroom very clean and spacious, good shower pressure too. We booked this complex knowing there was not air-conditioning, so it would be wrong for me to 'mark down' on this basis. We simply purchased travel fans for each bedside (Amazon before you go!), which made it a non-issue. Be mindful the bedroom socket is located away from the bed; again, we simply purchased an EU extension cord (we knew this from Trip Advisor review before we travelled). Whilst the nearby centre can be loud into the early hours, as soon as we closed the balcony door it was not an issue whatsoever, particularly as the bedrooms are set at the back of the apartment. We would happily stay here again in future.

Apartment were really good nice and clean. Only gripe was the noise from night club till four in the morning. Would still use these APTS again . Noise not APTS fault but it is a big issue. Stopped next door in cala Dor 2 year ago and never heard a thing. Wonder if they haven't used good enough glass

The apartment was brilliant, spacious, with everything we needed. The resort was great with plenty of areas for relaxing. Everything was clean and well looked after. Beds and towels changed regularly. Good base for getting to the centre with plenty of places to eat although there are a few steps to navigate with the hotel being on a hill. Food and drink very reasonable with plenty if choice. Shops were near by that stocked all the necessary items that we wanted for breakfast and lunch but also there were larger supermarkets if you wanted things like a cooked chicken, deli. We did go down to the beach one day and the sea was warm enough to go into. We also had a day trip to Port Mogan. Everyone had said how quaint this was and would agree but we were happy with where we were. One downside was the music playing until 4am every night/morning that was boom booming! Chatting to others in the hotel, they couldn't hear it but they were in the hotel part with a room at the back. We were in an apartment on the 6th floor at the front so there was nothing in the way to cushion the noise. We went away in February to get some sun and relax and chill and this is what we did.

Really lovely apartments Perfect location for harbor and commercial centre Rooms nice and big with plenty of space View from balcony is amazing and didn’t have to pay extra for a sea view Jamie at the bar makes the most amazing cocktails and he was so friendly - food good too Plenty of sun loungers and lovely pool Only downside was noise from commercial centre that went on till 4am but we had ear plugs so didn’t really bother us much But might annoy others Reception area was hard to find as it’s located in apartments next door and not clearly signed All in all we had a great stay and will definitely return
