My first time at Apartment Mocanes and it completely delivered! I opted for a large balcony high floor apartment and it was exactly what I hoped for, getting the sun on it all day, with loungers, a table, chairs, massive sunbrella, and with great views of the area (not the sea, though). A lovely quiet spot and complex, and other quests seemed keen to keep it that way too. A good-sized apartment and in good condition. Wifi throughout (stronger nearer/on the balcony). In-apartment safe availble. Adequate kitchen (although for cooking I didn't find an oven or grill as someone did in another review - just an induction hob and a microwave); washing up liquid, cloth and tea-towel provided - as was a large bottle of water on arrival - all a nice surprise! Two under-sink bins too, with binbags supplied - again, unusual from my experience. There are also recycling etc bins on the pavement just down from the entrance, if you're keen on doing your bit for the environment. A large lounge with TV (I could only get BBC1 in English), aircon (a god-send!) and a comfortable settee (which doubles as a bed, I believe). A decent bathroom, with a really good shower and an endless supply of hot water and clean towels. Plentiful toilet rolls also supplied and replaced almost daily - another pleasant surprise (I'm used to supplying my own in self-catering situations). Large bedroom (twin beds) with plenty of wardrobe and drawer storage space and good lighting. Comfortable pillows and bed - I think memory foam, which meant heat retention was a bit much for me at times: and that's my only 'negative' - as there's no aircon in the bedroom, a portable/standing fan would have been a blessing - but that's maybe just me - others may find it's absolutely fine without. I found the apartment to be lovely and clean, and it was kept that way throughout my stay by the friendly and helpful staff - even attending the day after I arrived (late at night, so I'd only been there a few hours!) and it appeared to me that the whole complex was that way. I didn't use the pool/area (I don't tend to anywhere) but it looked lovely and inviting. There's a pretty garden area, which I saw Adam working hard on to make even better. There was some refurbishment work going on in other apartments - more evidence of Adam's commitment to keep the complex in good condition - and it didn't disturb my enjoyment of my time there. Reception is open at certain times every day for any queries, advice on the area, transport etc (plus it sells bottled water (and some other drinks) which saves hauling that from a supermarket!). 24/7 contact in case of emergencies, which gives peace of mind. For me it was a 5minute walk down to the bus station (great for exploring the island), a further 2minutes to a decent-sized supermarket or a 5minute one to a larger one (Spar, at the beach). As others have said, if you're doing a 'big shop' it's worthwhile getting a taxi back - they're everywhere and inexpensive. It was
