The owner was very welcoming. Due to traffic restrictions in the area, taxis could only take us to Kaiyuan Temple or Kaiyuan Square. We had a lot of luggage, so we called him and a young man helped us move it on a small electric scooter. The hotel's location was great, in Pei Lane near West Street. Near the exit is Xiaoxicheng, and just outside the alley is West Street with the popular Litian Terrace photo spot for its World Heritage application. A few minutes to the right is Kaiyuan Temple, which opens at 6:30 am. We went for a stroll there two mornings in a row; there were no tourists, and the experience was excellent. Turning left from Pei Lane leads to the Bell Tower. You can see it at the alley entrance. Walk a little further to eat Grandma Hou's meat dumplings—they're so delicious! Outside West Street, on both Xinhua Street and Zhongshan North Road, there are small white electric scooters that you can flag down for 2 yuan each. It's quite convenient. We took one to Tianhou Temple, and then walked to Guanyue Temple, Qingjing Mosque, and Confucius Temple—none of them were too far away. The only downside is that the room was a bit small, and the bathroom floor tiles were a little slippery, but these flaws don't detract from the overall experience. The old house renovation is stylish and high-quality, which is already very good.

This was my first trip to Quanzhou, and I took advantage of the off-season to avoid the crowds. My friend's choice of guesthouse was excellent as always. Check-in was smooth, and the housekeeper called ahead to tell us where to get off (the guesthouse is on a pedestrian street, so cars can't reach the entrance directly; it's about a 100-meter walk). There are tons of great food options around the ancient city, so eating, staying, and playing all nearby was super convenient. They were very thoughtful during check-in; I was thirsty, and they offered icy cold winter melon tea with sea jelly. There was also a complimentary afternoon tea downstairs where I enjoyed a cup of coffee, which was quite pleasant! The air conditioning was already on in the room when I arrived, making it very comfortable. It smelled lovely, with no strange odors, and the hygiene was impeccable. What brand is the mattress? I slept so soundly, all the way until morning. The breakfast was also pretty good, with 'Mian Xian Hu' (vermicelli paste) being a local Quanzhou specialty. Next time I have free time, I'll bring my family here to visit. It was a really good experience.

I usually choose newer hotels, but this one exceeded my expectations! During our four-day, three-night trip to Quanzhou, the hotel was conveniently located near West Street and Kaiyuan Temple, just a few minutes' walk from scenic spots. The bakery downstairs had delicious coffee, and the shopping plaza across the street was very convenient. My room faced the street, so despite being in the bustling city, the room was quiet, perfect for those who love to sleep in. The service was excellent. The front desk answered the phone quickly and cordially, and anything I needed was promptly delivered. In the hot weather, the mini-fridge was always fully stocked with cola and water, and the spare bottled water was always fully refilled. Transportation was convenient, taxis were easily available, and the scooters were always passing by. There were many delicious local restaurants nearby, and I found something surprising every day during my three-day stay. From the morning market, dinner, late-night snacks, cut fruit, and braised food, there was always something new to discover, which saved me the trouble of searching for delicious food. I highly recommend it.
