The Residence Mauritius

A warm welcome with a refreshing welcome drink and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. A stunning, paradise-like beach with sun loungers by the sea or by the pool. A wide range of water activities is available. Drinking water is provided on the beach, and delicious ice cream is served daily. The only thing I missed was a changing room or cabin for wet swimsuits by the beach. Thank you for the kindness — I had a truly wonderful time

Of course anyone who has been to Mauritius will tell you that the beaches and activities are incredible, whether it is parasailing or going on an inflatable ride, most beachfront hotels will accommodate this. The residence not only does this but the ambiance is much more quiet and relaxing, more subtle and doesn’t hit you over the head. There are less people there then at places like Troux aux biches and which contributes to this. All the staff there are incredible and nice. The waiters are great. Kavish who works at the buffet is very nice and cheerful as well as Kazeem who was more subtle in his approach but still nice. The people at the Plantation( it’s a restaurant) were also very nice. They seemed like they enjoyed their job which made them a lot friendlier. I would give my experience at The Residence a 9/10.

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was truly impressed. The warm welcome at the entrance set the tone for a fantastic stay. Mina, the front office agent, was incredibly kind and helpful. She handled my check-in seamlessly while I enjoyed a welcome drink—such a classy touch. The process was quick and efficient, and I immediately felt at ease. My room was beautiful, and the cleanliness was absolutely impeccable—10/10. Later, I headed to the restaurant for dinner, which featured a buffet with an impressive variety of dishes, including fresh oysters! The food was excellent, and every staff member I encountered was kind, respectful, and attentive. On the day of check-out, I approached the reception to inquire about a possible late check-out since my taxi was scheduled for 4 PM. Lovena at the front desk was wonderful and kindly accommodated my request, allowing me to enjoy a few more hours at the hotel—something I really appreciated. Honestly, the only thing I can say is: keep up the amazing work. I’m already looking forward to my next stay, hopefully later this year! Best Regards, Lokeshrao Esram

We had an amazing week celebrating my partners birthday. Thank you to Jocelyn and the amazing team of staff that went far and beyond to make us feel at home from the very first moment till the end. Thank you to Divyra for her skillful and relaxing massage at the hotel spa with the perfect ambience. The beach was so clear and warm turquoise waters. Can’t wait to come back

We had a fantastic time at the Residence . The location is like paradise . Set next to a clean white sand beach with turquoise waters and plenty of space to relax. The hotel itself has all you need for a 5 star stay with great large pools and 2 good restaurants which have tasty innovative menus. All the staff were very welcoming and kind and were always making our staying enjoyable. Also the little things which helped enormously like checking in at 9am in the morning and letting us keep our flight to our late night flight back home. We will definitely be back.
