Hôtel à taille humaine Adult only ! Excellent rapport qualité prix si vous le Prenez en «  all inclusives «  Nous avons fait le tour de tous les hôtels et je peux vous assurer que c’est celui où la plage est la plus belle ! Les algues sont retirées, les noix de coco également pour éviter les accidents. L’entretien en général de cet hôtel est incroyable. Pour le calme prenez le côté des chambres 700-800. la literie ainsi que les oreillers sont excellents. Ce que nous retiendrons le plus, c’est malgré tout Le personnel de l’hôtel qui est extrêmement accueillant, gentil et bienveillant. Je mentionne spécialement les personnes suivantes avec lesquels nous échangions souvent, je m’excuse Par avance si j’en ai oublié tellement vous êtes tous sympathiques : Jerry au Ti bar - la fabuleuse Nicoletta - Olivier, le fantastique responsable de l animation - Andy, Adelio, Colin, Alina - Pascal - Elsa etc etc etc

Arrived on the early flight from Lgw - as soon as we arrived we were presented with a cold towel and drinks . As room not ready was told we could go for breakfast - which we chose not to do but was offered a room where we could shower after a long flight . Room was ready earlier than planned and we were given an upgraded room - 409 - small balcony but lovely refrub room and bathroom . We booked the two specialist restaurants but personally preferred the buffet as different theme every night . Beach is lovely but suffers with the sea**** but they try their best to get it cleared away . My friend booked the golf and he had a great day . We booked the five island speedboat trip with Chris on the beach - wonderful day - dolphins , snorkling , monkeys , lighthouse , waterfall bbq on the beach - worth every penny The staff are wonderful - special call out to our room cleaner - didn’t get his name but we were in room 409 . Soobash behind the bar was also amazing . This hotel employs a lot of youngsters as waiters / bar staff and they work very hard , polite and do long shifts - big praise to all of them Weather was very humid and it did rain a few times - normally over night and for short spells . The sun is very hot be aware . . Whilst we were there we endured a cyclone / luckily it wasn’t as bad as expected but the hotel planning for this was amazing - Overall wonderful place - highly recommend

I rated this hotel as average because there were lots of parts that needed updating. There were some issues with cleanliness even though the staff worked very hard and were very friendly and kind. The food was pretty good and very tasty on the whole. We really enjoyed the curries in the buffet restaurant. We visited the Italian restaurant 3 times, and each time, the food and the service got worse! 1st visit I'd give 10/10, 2nd visit 8/10 and 3rd visit 3/10! We waited over 30 minutes for a drink, and even more time for some bread and the starter!! There was an issue with how hot the food was when it arrived at the table, ruining what was meant to be a fantastic experience. The buffet restaurant was overrun with flies and sparrows!! The staff kept the food waste outside near the restaurant tables, which only encouraged more flies and birds. Birds were quite often seen pecking the uncovered bread and pecking the food on guest's plates!! I sat on at least 3 tables where birds had been to the toilet on either the table or the arm of the chair!! There was a ladies and gents toilet on the way to the beach, just past the buffet restaurant, which was awful!! The ladies was disgusting in cleanliness and smell!! I never went in there again!! The entertainment was limited, but the bands we saw were very good. It was just a shame that they finished too early! We went into the bar with the sport/films because it was cooler in there. Some of the staff were really friendly and others looked disinterested and bored!! The drinks were a little hit and miss, being flat sometimes. We ventured into the 'nightclub' there was nobody else in there, so we promptly left! The beach was lovely! The water was clear and warm. The sunbeds needed updating really, as they were tired and fairly uncomfortable! The staff on the beach work really hard and brought round cool towels, ice pops, drinks (limited selection, but very welcome) and fruit. We didn't try the seafood restaurant, but it looked nice and was on/next to the beach. Definitely bring enough sunscreen as it is £26+ in the hotel's shop!! There were some beautiful things in the shop, but I couldn't justify spending that kind of money on souvenirs. We had no hot water when we arrived, but it was very efficiently handled and repaired quickly. The staff were very friendly and kind and worked very hard. Luckily, we didn't see many poor dogs on the beach. We did see big fruit bats, which were fascinating, and 2 kittens that seemed to live at the hotel. Would I go back to Mauritius one day? Yes. Would I go back to this hotel? For the people and the beach yes, for the hotel, only if there were some improvements all round.

Wow Wow Wow, an unforgettable trip at an amazing hotel in an amazing country. We will book again as soon as we get home. Review from experienced travellers, who also want the required level of service for the price paid. The hotel complex is cosy, and everything is not too far away. The buffet is amazing, and the food changes every night. Special events are celebrated (Chinese New Year, Valentines etc) which helps with the variation. (We are big foodies, and were not disappointed) Jay and Ravi were amazing and looked after us very well, maybe too well with the wine refills LOL! Nicoletta and Veena in customer service were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. Rakesh is the guest experience Manager and he is a great guy too. Whatever you need, they can't do enough for you. Sundeep and Vanesh in housekeeping as well as Nicoletta and Veena helped us with a small issue, which was dealt with promptly, and we could nt thank them enough for how they looked after us. These people are amazing, so friendly and amazing at their jobs. You can tell that they really care. The A La Carte restaurants are lovely and the service is fantastic, although a bit tricky to book as space fills up quickly, you need to be on the ball for this, but well worth it. However, lunchtimes are easier. The beach is amazing, so clear, so beautiful with plenty of activities. All inclusive drinks are great and the staff are amazing at coming to make sure that you are refreshed. The evening entertainment is good also. We felt like family, and did not want to leave. We have never ever been to the same place twice on holidays, but we are coming back to this hotel every February from on. This is our happy place.

If your are looking for a relaxing hotel with all the amenities and the friendliest staff then look no further, Starting with the negatives - the food in the main buffet was a little hit and miss for variety but still very good. The service on the beach a little slow at times and the biggest downside, you couldn't have a drink poolside even in plastic glasses but as you can see, these are minor negatives. On to the positives - The spa is small but very nice and extremely relaxing. The pictures that people put up do not do this resort justice, its so picturesque. We have to give some shout outs to some of the staff. Nicoletta and Sian in the pool bar looked after us amazingly, Nicoletta always had a smile and Sian never let our glass get empty, amazing and so tentative, a real credit. We ate in the Italian a couple of times either for Lunch or Dinner where the food was delicious, the service from Kenny was brilliant. W e spent many an evening at the Beach bar where Layman and Nikkel.. i think that's his name, looked after us tremendously, always with a smile and efficiency. Our best experiences came in La Playa. The first night we dinned there was for the fisherman's dinner on the Saturday night. Sat on the sand under little Thatched huts was lovely however, the heavens opened and but the lighting show was magnificent. the staff served everything under umbrella's and even though it was pouring with rain that didn't stop there level of service to make it a lovely night. We had to go back to experience the service and food again without the rain, this time was as a group for six after making friends with other couples, this wasn't a problem to the team there. Jevin served us with Riaz the manager overseeing, making sure everything was on point, both of these could not do enough for us and are a massive credit to this hotel. We had another lovely evening, so much so I asked them to book us in for our last nights dinner there again "but please make it a little special", I was expecting candles or some thing but no, they went further. Let me lay the scene for you, 3 couples are sat at the beach bar having a drink as the sun is setting, they see a table being set up on the beach with beautifully decorated bows on the backs of the chairs, rope lights creating a circle around the table, lovely table decorations etc, it all looks really special. All three ladies in the group got up and took pictures of it saying how romantic it looked and how lovely it would be, little did we know that was our table ! Upon arrival to La Playa for our last evening meal on the island we was met by Riaz with a smile on his face. He lead us to our table on the beach, the one the ladies had been adoring whilst in the bar. We all sat down to enjoy when Nikil from the bar came over with a tray of Cocktails with heart shaped straws for us all. Wine and beer bought to the table too and our food order taken, to say we felt like VIP's and made to feel extra special b

Currently staying at the hotel. Hotel is great, good infrastructure although the room is a little tired and quite a distance from the amenities (not great if you get caught in a downpour). Food is varied and amazing. I can recommend Dolce Vita, great service, fab food. Staff are brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. Downside is the lack of shade around the pool. All the sun loungers with parasols have towels on them before 8am. There's supposedly a policy about reserving sunbeds but I don't see it in action. I want to sit in the shade but it's virtually impossible.

We have just came back to Scotland (sadly!) after a wonderful 8 days in Mauritius. We stayed at the Ambre and loved it. The beach was gorgeous, the food was generally great (Dolce Vita is the highlight). There are plenty of things to do on resort when the weather is good and the 5 island trip with Chris is a highlight if you are looking for something fun off resort. The staff were unbelievable and couldn’t do enough for us. Some particular staff do however deserve a shout out: - Deepak at reception was so helpful the entire trip booking golf and activities, but especially so on our last day. We were affected by the cyclone and had to wait hours for our flight. He helped us with a nice place to change before having to leave. Such a nice guy. - Nicoletta on the poolside bar and waiting position was so happy, friendly and attentive. She made sure we were never thirsty (or sober). - Ram our housekeeper for the week was excellent, not intrusive and made sure the room was romantic, clean and well topped up with amenities. Great guy. - Kenny, in Dolce Vita, was superb. Our Scottish accent is difficult to understand, but he was fantastic, very attentive and friendly and was very knowledgeable about the local food. We were lucky we had 5 days of amazing weather, in the last 3 days the cyclone was coming (and hit hard at times). However the staff did very well with this and kept the guests entertained, even if some activities (snorkelling and tennis) were postponed too far in advance (mild wind). We absolutely loved the hotel and would highly recommend it. The Belle Mare beach is stunning, and after walking along it all we would say that Ambre arguably has the best part of it. We would love to come back to Mauritius and the Ambre.

We have been to Mauritius many many times (Only missing two years due to Covid) First time at this hotel. We have to say it was magical. We got married this time our 8th time in Mauritius. Lovely clean rooms, fab entertainment & excellent service. Shout out to Brinda ( Indigo restaurant) always a smile and so caring ensuring we wanted for nothing. Also Ravi making sure we had all we needed. Our wedding planner Joanna and Vinesh ( Putting my mind at rest everything will be fine on the day. Geetan (Spa) making sure my makeup and hair was lovely, you did it lovely. The main bar service was great, smiles from the staff making sure everyone had a seat and drinks on tap. The only constructed criticism I have is the first week the food was lovely but the second week a little repetitive. When we mentioned this the staff was lovely and asked what they could make us. Thank you. I love fruit but same selection everyday started to become boring. Don’t get me wrong loved the pineapple and water melon but there is many different fruits out there try more different fruits. Loved the breakfast everyday. The beach was lovely plenty beds and lovely staff ensuring drinks were served. Beach bar service excellent. The other restaurants were lovely too. Chris on the beach offers an excursion for the 5 islands trip in a speed boat. This is a trip I’d recommend to do. It’s lovely Maritim Crystal beach hotel we went for 6 consecutive years, but sadly last year our experience was not good Maybe you need to learn from this hotel. Many thanks for a lovely wedding and relaxing holiday! We will be back!
