"Very good location just a short walk from the middle of Ramsbottom, which is a nice old market town in Lancashire. There are not many places to stay in the area, especially within walking distance. The hotel is a sprawling old building. My room was fine, if a little tired. Bed was comfortable and everything worked though. Lots of notes about being considerate to other residents, I wonder if they have issues sometimes. But for me it was quiet. I had limited contact with staff but they were pleasant enough. Plenty of parking"

"Room very tired in desperate need of renovation, broken lamp, lights out, moulded areas bathroom, chipped paint, old fittings, rusty shower fittings not suitable to put toiletries on, walls paper thin very loud from other rooms. Freezing cold room no accessible heating control. Only 1 tea bag and 1 coffee sachet for three days not replenished & no cups washed. Only 1 small round soap for three days. Ran out of toilet paper. Housekeeping extremely poor, bed straightened not made. Bins not emptied in three days. Front reception staff indifferent, appeared uncaring & disinterested."

"stayed over Easter whilst visiting family. Beds were very comfy, as was the cleanliness of the hotel and the overall service. No parking out the front except for drop offs but as it was Easter, there were reduced rates and you can park for 2 hours outside the town hall, or the main car park. The hotel was busy but peaceful and quiet. Great location for Bury markets and the steam train, and for exploring Manchester and the surrounding area"

"There is a direct bus to hotel from airport and a bus stop at 10 mins away from hotel back to airport. The walls have no stains which is nice and the bathroom is clean and tidy but the bed linen has quite a lot of stains. Some dust also appeared on the pillow and it is actually hard to spot them because of the dim lighting. The water pump is also working fine. The staff are super friendly when I forgot to bring a plug and realised that there is no USB charge spot."
