We stayed at Field Farm Cottage B&B for two nights. This is a ‘proper’ rural farm cottage with a rich full character, a ‘proper’ B&B, delightful hosts Anne and Pat, who just couldn’t have done anything more to make our stay welcoming and really pleasant. The breakfasts were stunning, with homemade fresh fruit compotes and homemade muesli, as well as the best cooked breakfast of local bacon, sausages, tomatoes mushrooms and home free range eggs cooked how you like them. And, just the best toast I’ve had in years! For what you get, the price point is excellent value and that breakfast is a lovely start to the day. Great walks down the river Kennet and canal towpath just a short walk away, the local blackberries were as sweet as in the hedgerows

I was lucky enough to stay in this lovely B&B a coupleof weeks ago (mid-February), and it was an excellent experience. My room was warm, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. Mr and Mrs Froom are excellent and kind hosts, and the breakfast was delicious, with local eggs, bacon and sausages, served with home baked bread and leaf tea! The wifi works well and the B&B is easy to find. Some lovely walks locally, and an excellent base if you're looking to visit Reading or Cambridge, with easy access to the M4 at Junction 12

We booked this lovely cottage b & b for a wedding we went to a couple miles away. Absolutely stunning cottage and land, so peaceful and surrounded by lovely nature. Anne, from the very beginning of the booking, has gone beyond what a normal host would do and be. So polite and accommodating to me and my partner to make sure we had what we needed. Breakfast was absolutely lovely with homemade granola, corn flakes, yoghurt, home made jams and to follow a cooked breakfast, absolutely lovely. Anne also helped us get to the wedding venue and also dropped us off at a nearby train station to get home, which she did out of pure kindness because shes such a lovely lady. If you're ever staying in the area I would reccomend staying at Anne's B & B, we wish we was staying longer!

My friend and I stayed here as we were doing a ghost hunt locally , Ann the host was outstanding and so friendly, our breakfast was lovely along with fresh melon blueberries and cereals and also a cooked breakfast , nothing was too much hassle for Ann our bedroom was lovely overlooking the horses in the field This is a wonderful place to stay its quiet and rural. We will definitely use again Karina
