Grecotel Creta Palace

I feel compelled to say something special about my experience at Creta Palace. Having travelled the world staying in 5* hotels for most of my life, I have never experienced such warmth and care I received from the staff at this hotel, especially the team who look after all the guests in the restaurant at meal times. It actually brought me very close to tears at one point - it was so touching. I particularly want to call out to Cecilia, who was wonderful in every way; Evelyn, who was so compassionate & caring when I was in great pain; Nicos, who was just great, and George who helped carry my food back to the table from the buffet. Also, Nasia as one of the guest relations personnel with her enchanting eyes and naturally charming smile effortlessly defused any minor concerns we may have had. I arrived on a much needed holiday (with my wife) with some pre-existing health conditions as well as my long-time food allergies of peanuts, gluten and lactose. Cecilia particularly went out of her way to discuss with the chef what I could have and it altogether went very well and my Epi-Pen returned home unused. It was so encouraging to hear that the staff genuinely desired feedback so that they can improve their service offering. So in the spirit of giving some constructive advice I would suggest that for dessert you maybe consider baking some gluten free cakes like Greek honey and lemon (or orange) cake; GF almond biscuits; Meringue nests with fresh berries and/or Loukoumi. There is actually a lot to choose from (rather than just fruit or ice cream). I look forward next time ! Regarding the accommodation, our only niggle was that we would have liked the room to be a bit bigger and the bathroom was a little small. Nasia said there was nothing else available so we believed her and didn't put up a fuss. In summary: AMAZING STAFF; Good Food & Lovely Location. Sincerely Yours, Paul & Janet

Everything in this hotel in 10/10! Starting from a warm welcoming, impeccable cleanliness, to excellent food. This is truly one of the best hotels that I've been to. It's worth every euro that you pay to be here. Staff, services, beach, pool, bars, SPA area and even shops are just wonderfull. Hope to get back there again someday. ❤️

Having just come back from this hotel, I can only agree with everything that Lynsey T has said. We were part of this wedding party, and although we didn’t have to change rooms, we did upgrade our room to a junior bungalow suite with a sea view. We did get a see view but if this was classed as junior bungalow suite then I would have hated to see a standard room. The only difference I can see is that we had a walk in shower. The shower had a large waterfall shower head, but there was more water coming out of the top of the shower and hitting the ceiling first, not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. The balcony was tiny, there was just enough space on there for 2 chairs and a little table. Wasn’t comfortable for 2 adults to sit out there. The umbrella stand and umbrella were broken and the whole balcony was in need of a lick of paint. It says that there is a mini bar in the room, well we arrived in the room and in that mini bar was 1 bottle of water and 1 bottle of white wine. We also had a bottle of red wine and a bottle of sparkling wine, with a small stand of cakes. Nice touch. There was never anything replaced in the “mini bar” and when I asked if I could add stuff to the “mini bar” I was told yes but there would be a cost to it. So basically it was just a fridge. We had a Nespresso machine in our room, but they kept forgetting to replace the pods, had to ask a couple of times. We came back to our room one evening to find that the mirror that was on the wall had been taken out, no explanation as to why? We only eat in the buffet restaurant on 4 occasions and we were only offered a drink on 1 occasion and this was as we were finishing our meal. Which is terrible as the drinks service around the pool and at the beach bar was amazing Maria and Christos were fabulous they were 5 star. Food left a lot the imagination when there was food in the trays. Be aware for the little extra costs, certain sunbeds on the beach and cabanas on the beach and round the pool. Gym was good we used this and we also used the jacuzzi, you do have to book that which we didn’t know. And you can’t go in as a couple as they are in separate changing rooms. Overall very disappointed as we paid a lot of money for this holiday and it didn’t live up to the 5* rating that this hotel has.

Staying at Grecotel Creta Palace was an once in a lifetime experience. Great outdoor spaces with a wonderful view at the sunset. Friendly staff trying to do their best to serve you. Modern spacious rooms. Tasty food from a wide variety of cuisines.

Amazing place! Nice location, delicious food, attentive staff. I’ll definitely come back! From the moment I arrived at the Grecotel Creta Palace, I was amazed by the serene atmosphere and stunning views. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and opened onto a private balcony with private pool and breathtaking views of the sea. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special—friendly, professional, and always ready with great local recommendations. Dining at the hotel’s a-la cart restaurant was a highlight; the seafood was fresh and expertly prepared. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with top service and unbeatable views, this is the perfect destination.

Amazing experience! Everything runs smoothly – from the warm welcome and lounge check-in to the spotless cleanliness and seamless organization. The staff is exceptionally trained and genuinely friendly. You truly feel like a valued guest in a well-run and professional hotel. Highly recommended!
