Grecotel Creta Palace

I feel compelled to say something special about my experience at Creta Palace. Having travelled the world staying in 5* hotels for most of my life, I have never experienced such warmth and care I received from the staff at this hotel, especially the team who look after all the guests in the restaurant at meal times. It actually brought me very close to tears at one point - it was so touching. I particularly want to call out to Cecilia, who was wonderful in every way; Evelyn, who was so compassionate & caring when I was in great pain; Nicos, who was just great, and George who helped carry my food back to the table from the buffet. Also, Nasia as one of the guest relations personnel with her enchanting eyes and naturally charming smile effortlessly defused any minor concerns we may have had. I arrived on a much needed holiday (with my wife) with some pre-existing health conditions as well as my long-time food allergies of peanuts, gluten and lactose. Cecilia particularly went out of her way to discuss with the chef what I could have and it altogether went very well and my Epi-Pen returned home unused. It was so encouraging to hear that the staff genuinely desired feedback so that they can improve their service offering. So in the spirit of giving some constructive advice I would suggest that for dessert you maybe consider baking some gluten free cakes like Greek honey and lemon (or orange) cake; GF almond biscuits; Meringue nests with fresh berries and/or Loukoumi. There is actually a lot to choose from (rather than just fruit or ice cream). I look forward next time ! Regarding the accommodation, our only niggle was that we would have liked the room to be a bit bigger and the bathroom was a little small. Nasia said there was nothing else available so we believed her and didn't put up a fuss. In summary: AMAZING STAFF; Good Food & Lovely Location. Sincerely Yours, Paul & Janet

Wonderful hotel. Great location. (nearby city center) Looked after us daily very well and rooms were spacious and clean. All people were amazing and very friendly. Food in restaurants was tasty and service excellent. Huge variety of alcohol and kids -suggestions- drinks as well. Staff in reception were very helpful and knowledgeable of local area. My 2 kids (7yo and 4yo) loved kids club. Check in was very fast and efficiency. 2025 is loading.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were welcoming, always smiling, and went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. The breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of fresh and tasty options. The location was perfect – close to the beach and a short walk from restaurants and shops. We felt truly taken care of and can’t wait to return!

Our room was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, with attention to every detail. Housekeeping kept everything immaculate throughout our stay, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! The food was simply outstanding—fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. From breakfast to dinner, every meal was a delight. Whether we were enjoying local specialties or international options, everything was prepared with care and served with a smile. A special thank you to Mr. Babis Gialitakis, the General Manager, whose vision and commitment to excellence are reflected in every part of this hotel. His leadership sets the tone for the remarkable service and atmosphere we experienced. Also a heartfelt thank you to Vassilis, the Hotel Manager, for his warm welcome and professionalism—he ensured everything ran perfectly during our stay. We were truly impressed by Giorgos, the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, who made every dining experience feel personal and exceptional. His kindness and attention to detail stood out. Another big thank you to Giorgos, the Sous Maître, whose calm efficiency and elegant service made each meal seamless and enjoyable. And of course, a huge shoutout to Antigoni, Marina, and Charis—three shining stars whose warm hospitality, cheerful energy, and heartfelt service added so much joy to our visit. This is a team that goes above and beyond, and it shows in every single detail. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories. Highly recommended—and we can’t wait to return!

The hotel is wonderful. The time spent there was impressive. There are many fresh flowers inside the hotel, even in the rooms. I was very surprised - it's wonderful. The room has a coffee machine, teapot, slippers, bathrobes, the beds are comfortable. The hotel staff is very helpful. You don't have to look for a place to make tea/coffee during breakfast, the staff provides upon request. Every detail in the hotel has been thought out, and if something is missing, the staff always comes to help. During my stay, I got to know the hotel managers Vasilios and Adonis. They are very friendly and attentive. Thank you to them for the attention and care given to me and my friends during our stay. I would like to come back again with pleasure ❤️❤️❤️.
