Grecotel Creta Palace

We just had a wonderful last minute stay here as a family.The hotel and our maisonette was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious! Rivalled Gleneagles. Staff were so friendly. and couldnt do more to make you feel truly at home.The kids club was amazing again the staff and facilities exemplary! Well done.👏 We were breakfast only and caught taxis along to Rethymino village to forte and explore the old town and its many amazing restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed the taverna closest to the hotel. The evening up to Agreco farm with dinner was a highlight and true Mama mia dream for the kids with tour of the farm and animals and food 5* with panoramic views! The spa back massage was on special offer and was truly amazing! Thank you Grecotel team for an amazing holiday 😊

I feel compelled to say something special about my experience at Creta Palace. Having travelled the world staying in 5* hotels for most of my life, I have never experienced such warmth and care I received from the staff at this hotel, especially the team who look after all the guests in the restaurant at meal times. It actually brought me very close to tears at one point - it was so touching. I particularly want to call out to Cecilia, who was wonderful in every way; Evelyn, who was so compassionate & caring when I was in great pain; Nicos, who was just great, and George who helped carry my food back to the table from the buffet. Also, Nasia as one of the guest relations personnel with her enchanting eyes and naturally charming smile effortlessly defused any minor concerns we may have had. I arrived on a much needed holiday (with my wife) with some pre-existing health conditions as well as my long-time food allergies of peanuts, gluten and lactose. Cecilia particularly went out of her way to discuss with the chef what I could have and it altogether went very well and my Epi-Pen returned home unused. It was so encouraging to hear that the staff genuinely desired feedback so that they can improve their service offering. So in the spirit of giving some constructive advice I would suggest that for dessert you maybe consider baking some gluten free cakes like Greek honey and lemon (or orange) cake; GF almond biscuits; Meringue nests with fresh berries and/or Loukoumi. There is actually a lot to choose from (rather than just fruit or ice cream). I look forward next time ! Regarding the accommodation, our only niggle was that we would have liked the room to be a bit bigger and the bathroom was a little small. Nasia said there was nothing else available so we believed her and didn't put up a fuss. In summary: AMAZING STAFF; Good Food & Lovely Location. Sincerely Yours, Paul & Janet

Very enjoyable stay in this hotel. Bungalow seafront 722 - half board - 9 days. Room, with its terrace overlooking the seashore, was well equipped, bathroom included, daily cleaned, with towels, mineral water and coffee capsules renewed every day. Several restaurants are available, with the main one offering a wide choice of food (and wines) including delicious Greek cuisine (Buffet). Restaurant situated at the roof top offers not only an excellent cuisine (Asian style) but also a fantastic view by night. The beach bar is perfect for a snack. On the beach, towels are freely available whilst free sun beds can easily be found at all time. Irrespective of the sand on the beach shoes are recommended to go swimming in the sea. There is also a large swimming pool which, in my view, is nonetheless too small for the size of the resort and also too noisy, with kids and adults mixed. A special mention must be given to the hotel staff who has always been very kind but also very skilled, professional and efficient, the level of service and performance of the entire staff is really impeccable ! Very good memories will remain of this stay, the place is ideal to refill the batteries in a very nice environment and atmosphere.

We sadly have missed reviews on this hotel. Positives are nice, clean hotel with great staff and food. Negatives are extremely confusing on the 'Comfort' package. This was sold to us as an all inclusive, however there was lots of restrictions i.e. no food around the pool was ever part of the package. Both pool restaurant and beach restaurant the food is only part of the package between 2.30 and 5. Who wants to eat lunch after 2.30 ? We also had a few occasions that the beach restaurant within those times would still require paying. Staff were confused themselves as some said no payment was needed and others said it was chargeable. We have been to the White Palace which didn't have any restrictions and made simple for guest to know where they are at with costs.
