The hotel staff was very polite, they gave me a cake for my birthday, which was very nice of them. The hotel itself was nice, close to the beach, and also to everything else you might need. The room was tidy, and we had a good balcony. Food was amazing, every meal was 10/10.

Very good hotel (resort). We stayed at hotel as a couple for 2 weeks. The room was very big with balcony, big bathroom and toilet room. The room was very clean (cleaned every day). Thanks cleaning lady for the service. At the reception they offer rent a car at the affordable price. We rented it and explored the Crete. We found very nice beach Bali (30 minutes/kilometers from hotel). Near the hotel there is supermarket where you can buy bus tickets to the Rethymno. The bus stop is at the supermarket. The restaurant was nice and big with the sea view. The food is very good (very tasty and nice decorated), thanks to the chef. At the hotel were many families with small children. The restaurant offers many different food for the children. The hotel is at the sea. You can use many free sunbeds at the pool area or rent them at the beach for affordable price (7 EUR per set). The offer many different free drinks (beer, cocktails, juices, ...) at the bar. At the evenings there is dancing music (sometimes live music). Thanks to Mario turists have good time. We recomend hotel to everyone. Thanks all personal from hotel for our beautiful holidays and hope to see you again. Boris (Slovenia) & Nataly (Russia)

We stayed for a week in August 2024. The place is not all-inclusive as the majority of things cost extra: beach towels, coffee at the bar, majority of drinks are all charged extra. The place is quite run down and dated. There's often a bad smell in rooms from the piping system. The air-conditioning is very dated and not sufficient, it even doesn't allow you to set the temperature. Food is very monotonous and low-quality, mostly deep-fried dishes. Hygiene is deplorable, i.e. single ice cream scoop used by all hotel guests for self-service ice cream (sic!). I wouldn't stay there again. I wouldn't recommend staying there to anyone. Avoid staying there if you can.

Our family is travelling a lot, but this is one of cases when I'm happy to share the best positive feedback after our stay in Dimitios Village hotel. We stayed there 21-28AUG2023. The hotel has a very good site with all detailed information about available accommodation options and contacts to book the stay, I should say that we had a challenging case (3 adults and 11-years-old boy), so a limited number of hotels could offer us suitable options for stay in one room. We contacted the hotel directly via e-mail and Front Office Manager Mr Yiannis Dagalakis responded very quickly and provided all required costs information and terms of payments, we also received the best recommendations on the taxi service we can use to reach from Heraklion airport to Dimitios Village (Retimno) and car rent companies we can use to rent a car upon arrival. We've selected Maisonette Suite, this is a two level room with two bathrooms and we've received an upgrade to Sea View as a compliment upon arrival, this was a very pleasant surprise! Personnel at the hotel are the best, when meeting guests, Mr Yiannis, Dimitra, Eirini and Toula are treating you that you feel very welcome and taken care of, any questions had been resolved very quickly and you could always get back to them if you wanted to either receive information about the best restaurant you should visit, to arrange a taxi or recommendation about the sightseeing places you should visit. Rooms are fresh and modern, equipped with small kitchen corner, you have an electric kettle and a coffee machine, so we visited the supermarket close to the hotel and had a chance to have a cup of our favorite coffee at the balcony admiring sea view any time we wanted. I liked air conditioners, they are new and modern, you could always adjust it to keep the comfortable temperature and avoid blowing to you directly when sleeping. Wifi connection was good, allowed me to work 1-2 hours a day and again praise to the room design: there were 2 desks (upstairs and downstairs) to place your laptop and work comfortably if needed. TVsets are modern as well, they allowed flash drive for my son to watch his favorite One piece) Cleaning is done every day with a very good quality, towels and bedclothing are soft, white and fresh. As we've selected All inclusive option, we visited breakfasts, lunches and dinners at the hotel restaurant. I like the music playlists they use (adore Scorpions!:)), the tables are being prepared for you very quickly, all dishes and table-ware are clean and of good quality. The waiters are very nice and polite, food is tasty, I can't say there was a huge variety of options, but our family could always find something tasty for everyone: for breakfast you always have eggs (fried, boiled, omelets), bacon, beans, pancakes, pastry, yogurts (my favorite Greek one!), flakes, fruits, vegetables, olives; for lunch there is always an option of meat, fish, pasta with different sauces, French fries, rice, vegetables and salads and

Absolutely loved our stay! My husband and I travelled with our two small kids and grandmother and everything worked so well for all of us. Ioannis (the Front Office Manager) was extremely helpful both before and during our stay, guiding and helping us in finding the right room to accommodate all of us and in general just ensuring we had a great stay! Hotel has really nice facilities for both kids and adults. The kids club was great with a fantastic kids entertainer (thank you Anastacia) and staff overall very kid-friendly! Only thing to mention for improvement is that during the last days of our stay, we could feel the hotel was about to close for the season, also resulting in fewer options in the restaurant. Also, the evening entertainment (both for kids and adults) is a bit loud if the room is facing towards the sea. Otherwise, can really recommend it!

Arrived via coach transfer about 1 hour and met by Yiannis friendly and warm host. It was a mum and daughter holiday. Great spacious room by pool. Room had double and twin beds that were super comfortable. Kettle, hob and fridge in room. Great toilets and spacious shower with outside balcony. Cleaned daily with fresh towels. You can pay €5 deposit plus €1 for each pool towel borrowed, we managed to use same towels all week and got deposit back at end of week. We went all inclusive with excellent buffet style at each sitting over looking the beach and a great place to watch the sunset. Bar and snacks available throughout the day with pizza, ice cream and fruit. Excellent facilities for families with children’s pool and entertainers. 5 min walk from ATM and great supermarket. Nice 30minute walk to Rethymno (recommend trainers) due to heat and distance. Great old town with amazing shops and restaurants and bars. Recommend hiring car if you want to see more of this beautiful island. Highly recommend this resort.

The most important and value it was the hotel is located in front to the beach. It was our third time in this hotel and we were informed that the the management was new and they had made a lot of changes and really bad . The restaurant with unfriendly staff the food was really bad and cold and all the drinks in plastic glasses. The room we got it was good and wecreally thanks Mr Yannis that he gave us rhe room we asked and wecwerw upgrade in the 400 area in a family room with sea view. We are not going to come back again with the new management because the qaulity is really bad now.

The staff were the best that I have ever met. They could not have been more courteous, helpful, professional and I honestly believe that my enjoyment of the holiday was important to them. The hotel was clean. Food was delicious and the choices were varied. The hotel was the best that I have ever stayed in.

Just experienced our final 5th night at the resort (we leave tomorrow), and I can't speak highly enough of the warm and accommodating Dimitrios Resort team, from the front of the house staff, including Yannis, the restaurant team led by Manos and team, and the one-person show-stopper talent extraordinaire, Anastasia, who single-handedly entertained our 3 children, aged 3, 5 and 9, with daily kids club craft, games, arm and face painting and disco dancing activities throughout the day to ensure they fall fast asleep by night! In our family of 5, plus grandmother, Manos, and the fantastic head chef and restaurant team made a huge effort to cater to our family needs within an all-inclusive setting, with our requests for alternative milk for our children's cereal and varied 'healthy' vegan options made readily available, with Manos and their chef's, calling out the dishes that I could eat and couldn't eat. It did become a little bit similar over the days we stayed but everything was so healthy and tasty, we probably ate so much more than we normally do as a result! Please add some vegan 'sweet' treat options too! Not forgetting chef Jagir Lal at the Snack Bar Corner, who despite serving up pizza, crepes, and ice cream as regular daily fare, also made the effort to make cheese-free vegan pizzas for me if given enough notice before close time. When we arrived the charming Yannis quickly dealt with an issue we raised as soon as we were allocated a room and changed us to another suitable room in no time at all, which didn't detract from our holiday at all. Our stay was almost at the end of the summer season for the hotel which closes at the end of Oct, so the only downside for me as an avid swimmer was that all of their 4 swimming pools were not heated. The weather was mostly warm enough to compensate but I came prepared with wet suits for my younger children to be able to stay in the pool for longer. You have to pay for the sunbeds but we're not sun worshippers so not a big deal for us. You also have to pay for certain alcohol or cocktails which is normal for all-inclusive but again, not big drinkers but there are plenty of options that are included for everyone to enjoy. All in all a fabulous getaway for a fairly 'fussy' family, whose main focus was on overall hotel cleanliness, comfort and the quality and variety of food, but Dimitrios just so happened to tick many more of the boxes we didn't expect it would.
