Great location, just across the street from the beautiful sandy beach. The pool is bigger than what it seems in the pictures. We were in a comfortable 2-bedroom apartment, furnished with everything you need and lots of windows and two balconies. Just be aware that the price on trip.com does not include the the a/c. Ileas and his family are very friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you!

Rooms are dark cold especially room 301 smell keeps coming back up toilet complaind 3 times rock hard bed class rattle in door the whole complex needs refurbished shame good staff all inclusive but eat out furniture needs to go on bonfire won't be going back there

TLDR; very cozy and chill beach & pool getaway if you just wanna take it easy in a home like environment. my initial (and final) reaction was that the photos don’t do justice to the place. based on pictures i expected something less nice and more worn out. i agree not everything was brand new and sparkly but overall fine and what you’d expect from a local greek b&b. our apartment was very spacious (50m2?) and in good condition, with a balcony (view of the sea between buildings) and a small modern-ish bathroom. nice kitchen with a table. the hotel is a bit like labyrinth but not in a bad way, it allows every apartment to have its own entrance and balconies that are not next to each other. importantly our apartment was very quiet, we had a good sleep until 11-12am. the aircon is only enough for the bedroom so the rest of the apartment is warm but that was ok for us. the aircon is also quiet. very nice owners, they make you feel like home. even brought a drying rack to our balcony which was useful. the pool temperature in july was around 27-29c, in other words very nice and comfy. u can move the poolside chairs around to get shade under the trees, i enjoyed the peace & quiet, perfect for reading and chilling. wasnt busy in mid july. there is s bit more yard space than shown in the photos. you can get drinks from the bar which is by the reception and enjoy them by the pool. cocktails were 4euros and wine 2 euros per glass. we were supposed to go on excursions but ended up chilling by the pool as it was so easy and relaxing. the beach on the other side of the road is practical too. there are good restaurants and shops nearby, even the highest rated restaurant of a rethymno is 3-4min walk away (Nostos). next door Solti has great brunch/lunch options. the other guests during our stay were Dutch 30-50 yr old couples or families (no small kids). if i must look at negatives as i always do, sure its not dashing new and the pool is small. based on my research tho there are no bigger pools in the area, only more expensive ones and/or ones with very little shade. the old town is a 25min walk so not something to do every day perhaps. still, this is one of my few 5 star places (price-quality ratio considered).

Booked one bed apartment with balcony or terrace on arrival taken to a room studio bed sit..bed separated by book case not a separate room. No privacy no nets at windows could see straight into room from pool etc.the terrace was a shared pathway..moved to his sister's hotel rather than sort a apartment that we booked how can you say one room is a one bed apartment.. love holiday need to re visit and re star these apartments.be careful cruby musty old tired room not rustic or charming appalling.

Location is top! On the boulevard, with a view of the sea, but away from the hustle and bustle. Spacious bedrooms and a spacious living room. All windows have shutters and heavy curtains, very nice to keep out the heat and sunlight. Well-functioning kitchen, shower and toilet. Cleaning every day, making beds and changing the pedal bin bags for clean ones (no toilet paper may be flushed down the toilet). Benevolent and friendly owner and staff. We were happy with everyone. Cleaning staff speak little or no English, but we managed with hands and feet. And it also has something. We didn't use the pool as the sea is across the street. Also did not use the breakfast because we have enough coffee in the morning and coffee maker did its job. Balcony has a nice seat. Tried air conditioning for 2 days but that turned out to be unnecessary. It is small-scale, which we prefer, in general it was inhabited by Dutch people. There is a friendly atmosphere, exactly what we like. We finally had to wait 4 years before we could go (because of illness and Covid) and it certainly did not disappoint .... of all the hotels etc that we have seen along the way and in Rethymnon, this is our place, we kept saying: we have the best spot! We will 100% definitely go back!

Om positief te beginnen: de bedden, schoonmaaksters en de locatie zijn op! Alles binnen bereik. Het appartement zelf ziet er van buiten erg mooi uit. Maar van binnen is het erg oud en vervallen. Alles wat we aanraakten ging kapot. De leidingen en kabels staken uit de muur waardoor we de kinderen goed in de gaten moesten houden en een dure airco voor 15 euro per dag per kamer (!) die er nog even bij kwam. Met temperaturen van 32+ was dit zeker nodig. De gordijnen vielen van de muur toen we die dicht deden. De meeste appartementen hadden een badkamerraam, wij niet maar een ventilatiesysteem. Deze konden we niet aanzetten omdat het touwtje beschimmeld was en het kastje half van de muur hing. (Boven de douche, erg gevaarlijk!!) Het zwembad was erg vies. Toen we aankwamen lag er van alles op de bodem en waren de randen groen. Dit zat ook direct in onze nieuwe badkleding, lakens en speelgoed. Toen we hierover zijn gaan klagen, gaven ze aan dat het de schuld was van “al onze niet waterproof zonnebrand crème”. Bijzonder dat in een resort met 1000 man en onbeperkt van alles smeren een zwembad er tip top uit ziet! Na klagen (ook via de reisleider die dit goed op pakte) hebben ze de randen schoongemaakt. Maar de volgende dag zat het er weer en is aan het eind van de vakantie al ons badkleding en handdoeken verpest. Het water stond ook erg laag waardoor we ons afvroegen of het goed gefilterd kon worden. De laatste dagen was iedereen plukken haar uit het waren aan het halen. Zo vies! Een putdekseltje was al sinds aankomst gescheurd en onze dochter is er lelijk in terecht gekomen. Wat we zeer kwalijk vinden is dat de chemicaliën vrij toegankelijk zijn voor iedereen. Kinderen kunnen hier ook bij, levens gevaarlijk! We hebben ze hooguit 1x zien testen in de kleine 2 weken dat we er zijn geweest. Het zwembad is veel te klein voor de hoeveelheid mensen en appartementen in het hoogseizoen. De bedjes werden overal neer gezet en de volgende dag stond het nog net zo slordig. Het zwembad is in onze ogen verwaarloost en een bijzaak voor de eigenaren. Na het klagen waren ze ook minder aardig en kunnen we niet meepraten over hoe gastvrij ze zijn. Ik zou het sterk afraden om hier naar toe te gaan.

Een heel fijn verblijf. Welke gerund wordt door een zeer gastvrije familie! Geen vraag is te gek, ze denken graag met je mee. Een gezellig binnentuintje met zwembad, waar altijd ligbedjes beschikbaar zijn. Er wordt top schoongemaakt. Je kunt je huurauto er gratis parkeren en je zit direct aan het strand (gescheiden door een weg). Je loopt zo de boulevard op naar het oude centrum van Rethymnon. Kortom zoek je een heerlijk verblijf, dan zit je hier goed.

Prachtige zee voor de deur, aardige en behulpzame eigenaar, goede schoonmaak 6x per week, aardig personeel rustig gelegen, klein zwembad, prima om af te koelen, grote supermarkt op loopafstand, superleuk centrum boordevol winkels en restaurants.
