Oceanis Beach Hotel

Hotel is beautiful,everything is perfect. Food is good,staff is polite,recommended to visit. The only thing we dnt like that was two singles beds instead of double.Every evening was entertainment and we really enjoy our time here. Drinks a lovely cocktails too.

We had a lovely stay at the OCEANIS beach, catching some late summer sun before winter arrives. Location is great - right across from the beach and the hotel has its own sun beds in a private area on the beach. There are bus stops to and from Rhodes town right outside the hotel which run every 20 minutes or so for just under €2. If you prefer to walk, there’s a lovely and safe promenade walk all the way into Rhodes Town which takes about an hour to walk (it’s about 5k). Hotel itself was a pretty good standard, well cleaned and nice spacious rooms (although sparsely decorated) with powerful showers, very comfortable bed and great air conditioning so ticked all the main boxes. The only slight let down for us was the food which we felt was just a little repetitive, but to be fair, it’s what we’ve tended to experience in most 4* hotels like this in recent years, obviously catering to the popular demands. We arrived Saturday and left Saturday so missed the one Greek night, so we ended up eating out one evening just to get n experience of local cuisine. Food was however plentiful and always available when needed. Drinks were ok, plenty of choice on the all inclusive and self serve beer and wine all of a good standard. All the staff are to be commended for their pleasant approach, all smiling and ready to help and the restaurant manager in particular works so hard to ensure everyone is looked after. But the standout member of staff has to be Maradonna from the entertainment team. She works so hard to include everyone in the daily activities and is always looking to chat and ensure you’re having a good time.

The hotel is right by the beach. Very central and easy to go to old town and Faliraki beach. The best bit is the polite staff especially the kitchen staff and the manager. They couldn’t do more. They made my birthday special . Gave us a special corner, a bottle of champagne and made vegetarian food just for us including the eggless birthday cake! They were ever so helpful. The only thing that let us down during our stsy there and give it a 3 star is out of 5 days we only got hot water for 2 days as they rely only on solar! Otherwise, this hotel ticks all boxes for me.

A great stay, staff couldn’t be more considerate and wanting you to have a great time. Nothing is too much, they all go above and beyond to ensure you have a good stay. Entertainment staff (Babou and Noe) were brilliant. Great with both kids and adults, especially Noe when interacting with and engaging kids in activities. The only let downs were the issues we had with hot water and the air conditioning. We stayed for 10 days and on 3 occasions there was no (1 occurrence) or minimal (2 occurrences) hot water. Although you could flip it and say a cool shower was actually quite pleasant in the heat. The air conditioning unit is set to a minimum temperature of 18 degrees and the hotel can not change this, also the fan speed allows you to select the speed you want but has no impact as it is set on the lowest speed setting and you cannot change this. We usually have it set to 16 and like to vary the speed according to the temperature and time of day, however we could not do this and the system was pretty useless. It did not cool the room down and we ended up sleeping with the balcony door open as it was so warm overnight. Bar staff have the most amazing memory! How they remember everyone’s drink orders is beyond me. Demitris was great, very friendly and helpful and engaged the kids in making their drinks.

Our experience at Oceanis beach was great overall, we visited over Easter weekend the weather was great and we had a lovely experience. Firstly, the time of year was ideal for us we got to experience Easter celebrations in old town with fireworks and more. The religious culture in Greece altogether is amazing to witness this time of year. The hotel wished us a happy Easter with traditional games (Tsougrisma) and bread. This was one of my favourite features about our time here. The food was amazing every night with each night being different ie bbq, Italian, Chinese, Greek, gala and more. The snack bar during the day has the best chips I’ve ever experienced and fantastic staff and service in the pool bar, snack bar and evening bar especially, I’m uncertain of their names but evening bar staff were fantastic always happy to help and obviously advocate for a great time for all. Waiting staff in the restaurant were all lovely willing to chat, always a good morning/kalimera. Drink selection is good plenty of cocktails and local liquors and beers. Facilities are great we enjoyed a great massage one of the days, the gym was perfect for us too lots of equipment and weights I feel like I will go back without even noticing I was away which I can’t say for any other hotel gym I have been too abroad. Pools are quite cold this time of year but once acclimatised they aren’t too bad. The sea was warm and the beach is fairly good although pebbly. Plenty of seats but it got busy of a night so when entertainment was on it was often we would end up sat quite a way away. The entertainment was great and seemed to get better daily for us. Great shows from live music, circus acts and dancers. Plenty of day time entertainment such as darts, ping pong, aqua gym, yoga sort of class and more led by the wonderful babou and noe who were very lovely from the get go very entertaining and overall bought all the entertainment together in a really wonderful way. Noe seemed to be really great with entertainment for the kids whereas babou was a real entertainer for more adults but both were great with all. Special mention for Greek night, usually we book our own external Greek night but having been to Greece a few times we opted to leave it. To our suprise the hotel runs a Greek night every week with Greek food, traditional Greek dancing and songs and overall lovely experience. This was the best night for food by far too loved it all. Overall our experience was really great here, would 100% recommend to friends especially as a family holiday. Thanks to all the staff.
