"It was a little disappointing when the receptionist was being quite unprofessional as I approached her for a spare room card. She told me that the guest was British after I told her my surname meaning that she didn't consider that a Chinese person can be British, how backwards and ****** such behavior this is. Lack of exposure might be the answer ;however, I was expecting a lot more from a 4 star establishment. Must I stress that the reason we conversed in Mandarin is a respect to the local staff yet it always backfires in situation like this. More training should be provided."

"The hotel is in a great location, with many places of interest within easy walking distance, which made getting around very convenient. The service staff were consistently friendly, warm, and helpful, and their hospitality really made us feel at home throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet offered a decent variety and was quite enjoyable, with good flavors and enough options to start the day well. That said, housekeeping could be more consistent. On one of the days, hair was not cleared from the floor trap, the mug wasn’t washed even though we had rinsed it after use, and the tissue paper was not replenished. These are small details, but they do affect the overall experience and could be improved. Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable 4-night stay, and with a bit more attention to housekeeping details, the experience would have been even better."

"The hotel's overall design blends French retro with modern aesthetics, creating a very stylish and photogenic space in every corner. The staff were friendly and professional, making us feel right at home from the moment we checked in. Our room was clean and comfortable, the bed was soft and provided a great night's sleep, and the quiet, relaxing environment allowed us to fully recover from our travels. The most delightful surprise was the live piano performance during breakfast. Paired with the exquisite and delicious food, it added a wonderful sense of occasion and made our mornings even more enjoyable."

"Simply perfect... The overall quality and comfort were outstanding. The dorm room was spacious and airy, featuring a full-length mirror and a long table with benches in the center for guests to place their belongings. My bunk felt very comfortable and hassle-free, perhaps because I was assigned a lower bunk, which made getting in and out easy. The upper bunks might be a bit more inconvenient. A great plus was that even the lower bunks were quite high, unlike some hostels where the beds are so low you feel like you're almost lying on the floor. The shower facilities were very comfortable, and they even provided hair oil. The common areas were also delightful, cozy, and beautifully designed with excellent分区. Upon check-in, they gave me a small Tainan travel guide. I read it thoroughly and found it incredibly charming and useful. The memory of relaxing on the beanbag in the common area, reading and taking notes that evening, is still so vivid. All in all, I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Tainan."

"Tainan Wow hostel has a special place in my heart. It's inexpensive and provides all basic necessities. It's unfortunately rather far from Tainan station. But if you're willing to walk a bit, it's still worth a stay. The air-conditioning unit requires cleaning though. Lots of dust in the ducts. The bed frame creaks a fair bit, but nothing too crazy."

"The hostel was fairly easy to locate, the building number was marked clearly and it's Google Maps location was spot-on. The host Jenny, was attentive and helpful during my stay, and very accommodating especially since I arrived a few hours prior to the official check-in time. Thanks to her kindness, I was able to leave my bags and begin exploring Tainan City immediately. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the room, but it was much bigger than I expected, and everything was kept neat and clean. I had no issues with the bathroom facilities as well, the water was hot and had decent pressure, which was extremely relieving after a long day of walking around the city. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, if I was to visit Tainan, it's proximity to Tainan station was handy as I had flown in from Kaohsiung and had to return early in the morning."

"The best two nights' sleep I've had in Taiwan! The room was incredibly cozy and spotless. The location was great, perfect for a comfortable stroll around the neighborhood. This is also the most personal and charming B&B I've ever stayed in, thanks to Sister Ya Fang, the owner, who is truly passionate about her work. She was so warm and genuine, even preparing delicious local specialty desserts for my check-in and patiently answering all my questions. She truly felt like an old friend."
