"It was a little disappointing when the receptionist was being quite unprofessional as I approached her for a spare room card. She told me that the guest was British after I told her my surname meaning that she didn't consider that a Chinese person can be British, how backwards and ****** such behavior this is. Lack of exposure might be the answer ;however, I was expecting a lot more from a 4 star establishment. Must I stress that the reason we conversed in Mandarin is a respect to the local staff yet it always backfires in situation like this. More training should be provided."

"Simply perfect... The overall quality and comfort were outstanding. The dorm room was spacious and airy, featuring a full-length mirror and a long table with benches in the center for guests to place their belongings. My bunk felt very comfortable and hassle-free, perhaps because I was assigned a lower bunk, which made getting in and out easy. The upper bunks might be a bit more inconvenient. A great plus was that even the lower bunks were quite high, unlike some hostels where the beds are so low you feel like you're almost lying on the floor. The shower facilities were very comfortable, and they even provided hair oil. The common areas were also delightful, cozy, and beautifully designed with excellent分区. Upon check-in, they gave me a small Tainan travel guide. I read it thoroughly and found it incredibly charming and useful. The memory of relaxing on the beanbag in the common area, reading and taking notes that evening, is still so vivid. All in all, I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Tainan."

"The room was lovely and quiet at night. Although there isn't a water dispenser, there was a kettle in the room and water available in the common area, which was nice. The WiFi in the room wasn't working from check-in, but I contacted the staff and it was fixed the next day. I appreciate their prompt response. It's within walking distance of Tainan Station, the shower in the room had hot water and good pressure, so I'd definitely like to stay here again when I visit Tainan."

"The location was a bit hard to find, tucked away in a residential area right next to a tourist spot, but a kind local helped me out. It's super convenient as popular attractions like Shennong Street and Chikan Tower are within walking distance. There are also plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so you won't have any issues. The decor in both the common areas and the guest rooms was absolutely lovely. I was on the second floor, which was fine, but be aware there's no elevator and rooms go up to the fourth floor, so it might be a challenge if you have a lot of luggage. Thanks to the 'quiet after 9 PM' rule, I had a peaceful night's sleep without being disturbed by excessive noise. Amenities in the room included shampoo and body wash. In the common area, you could get a bath towel, toothbrush, and other items (like razors) for 20 TWD, which you'd put into a cute bear-shaped piggy bank. I'd recommend bringing your own cleansing oil and conditioner. By chance, after self-check-in, I met what I presumed were the owners, a very friendly couple. They were incredibly thoughtful, asking if I had any questions, which made my 3-day stay extremely comfortable. I would definitely love to stay here again when I visit Tainan."

"The hotel is in a great location, with many places of interest within easy walking distance, which made getting around very convenient. The service staff were consistently friendly, warm, and helpful, and their hospitality really made us feel at home throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet offered a decent variety and was quite enjoyable, with good flavors and enough options to start the day well. That said, housekeeping could be more consistent. On one of the days, hair was not cleared from the floor trap, the mug wasn’t washed even though we had rinsed it after use, and the tissue paper was not replenished. These are small details, but they do affect the overall experience and could be improved. Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable 4-night stay, and with a bit more attention to housekeeping details, the experience would have been even better."

"The best two nights' sleep I've had in Taiwan! The room was incredibly cozy and spotless. The location was great, perfect for a comfortable stroll around the neighborhood. This is also the most personal and charming B&B I've ever stayed in, thanks to Sister Ya Fang, the owner, who is truly passionate about her work. She was so warm and genuine, even preparing delicious local specialty desserts for my check-in and patiently answering all my questions. She truly felt like an old friend."
