Rome Municipio VIII – Appia Antica 3-star Hotels

Comincerò con le sole due cose positive. La ragazza alla Reception gentilissima e la pulizia delle stanze ottima. Al nostro arrivo notiamo un errore della prenotazione effettuata su *********** per una sola persona, invece di due. Notato l’errore la ragazza alla reception h fatto il possibile per trovarci una stanza adeguata risolvendo il problema perentoriamente. Le stanze sono vecchie e un po’ datate ma ben pulite. Ed ore le note dolenti. La struttura è molto datata, l’ingresso mostra 3 stelle di qualità ma ne dubito fortemente. Lo stabile è posizionato accanto a dei locali notturni che nel weekend suonano musica ad alto volume fino ad alta notte, e l’insonorizzazione delle stanze per i suoni provenienti dall’esterno non è delle migliori. Per quanto riguarda i suoni provenienti dalle altre stanze…stendiamo un velo pietoso. Dire che “si sente tutto” è riduttivo (e non entrò nei dettagli di cosa è possibile ascoltare perché è anche un po’ imbarazzante). Suggerisco tappi per le orecchie in dotazione (almeno l’ascolto di musica e suoni dell’ambiente circostante diventa una scelta del cliente). LA COLAZIONE. Come è solito chiedere Bruno Barbieri a 4 Hotel “La colazione Vale il Viaggio”? Ma anche no! Nonostante debba dire che le paste non erano per niente male, la scelta è veramente riduttiva e se provieni da un paese con cultura completamente diversa da quella italiana o obbedisco ad un certo regime alimentare la scelta è pressocchè ZERO. A loro discolpa posso però dire che il Charge per la colazione è di soli 5€ al giorno. PS: scendere al bar di sotto molto ben fornito e con prodotti freschi e spederete la media di 5.5€ per una colazione per 2 persone. Thanks me later!

Everything was fine, reasonable room,cmfortable bed, private very clean bathroom, aircondition was very good, breakfast was very good and variable, coffee machine always ready, near to bus stations but very far away from underground. In general it was a very nice place to stay in.

St John Villa was a lovely bed & breakfast, within a 25 minute walk of the Colosseum and less than a 10 minute walk to San Giovanni metro. Vincenzo was a great host. There was a good selection for breakfast and our room was extremely clean and inviting. Our twin room had the added bonus of a lovely terrace & kitchenette too, with a fridge. If we are lucky enough to travel to Rome again, we will definitely book in at St John Villa again.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing, they had not only helped me when I ran into some booking issues, but they also were very helpful in regards to giving us tips and advice when it came to the trip, and generally gave us a very welcoming stay during out first leg in Italy. As for the rooms they are very comfortable, and well taken care of, yes the rooms are close to the train lines but the windows are have 3 different layers to help block out the sound which makes it much less disturbing. Additionally the neighborhood is friendly with many local restaurants I would highly recommend having one night of dinner in the hotel area. I would definitely go again, thank you Crossroad staff for such a wonderful and welcoming stay. PS. I initially had a bit of worry on their self check in process due to my own anxiety and the fact that we arrive at 2am but it was extremely smooth and easy!

The hotel is very comfortable and well-served, and is a few meters away from bus stops and metro. The friendlyness and care of the owner Andrea are the strengths of this B&B. I will certainly advise friends and colleagues and I will certainly return to it.

We're sure to recommend! strategic location x to be turned Rome because 2 minutes walk from the metro and 2 stops from the Colosseum! x as regards Maurizio accommodation the owner was very careful making me even find the assembly bought x a request! top breakfast with juices , yogurt and all the sweet ...se I really have to make a little note missed the salt but you survive the same! in the room we found all kinds of comfort from the switch to free absorbers ...My son loved the technology provided by Alexa that managed the light plant on TV with Netflix , util after a day of walk and x reconcile sleep ...Thanks Mauritius,a greeting from Torino!!

Great swimming pool, open 24 hours, breakfast was good, but only open until 9:30 am. The restaurant Orto di Roma around the corner was excellent. The room had its own bathroom which looked good. I was not allowed to swim after check-out and stay at the location even though check-out was already at 10:30 AM, which I found very strange and unfriendly. I was also not allowed to invite a guest to the swimming pool, which was a shame. I thought the location was very bad, there was nothing to do in the area and you really have to have a car or book a taxi every time to go to Rome center. The double rooms looked very cozy with a small garden, but the single room was very uncomfortable.
