"We had a lovely stay at this beautiful resort. The infinity pool is stunning, and the direct beach access makes it even more special. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was well organized and clean. However, considering the price of €200 per night, the value for money could be improved. For the Philippines, this is quite a high rate, and we expected a bit more luxury. The breakfast buffet was quite basic — mostly cheap fruits like apples, oranges, and watermelon. We would have appreciated more tropical options, which are usually standard in the region. Also, cappuccinos were not included and had to be paid separately; only basic filter coffee was available. Overall, it’s a great resort, but the pricing doesn’t fully match the experience"

"We booked for 3 rooms. Overall stay was OK, The Rooms are Spacious, Nice Shower Room with hair dryer and slippers , with hot water of course, the towels are clean the beddings are clean too, One issue is that there are no TV’s in every Room, the Wi Fi are On & Off, The Breakfast was simple and there is very limited choices, the service are Ok too, But overall Stay is OK."

"We stayed at Henann Tawala Hotel for a week upon arriving in Bohol, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean, living up to its 4-star rating. Upon arrival, the staff were very attentive—our bags were handled, and we were offered breakfast while our early check-in was expedited. One thing to be aware of is the 3,000 pesos per night damage deposit. If paid by credit card, any charges, such as room service or drinks at the swim-up bar, are deducted from it, with the balance refunded after checkout. The breakfast area is beautifully presented, with friendly staff who greet you warmly. After giving your room number and surname, you’re escorted to a table. However, we noticed some inconsistency in service—on some days we were offered coffee or tea, while on others we weren’t. There were also times when water wasn’t provided, so we ended up with double servings after fetching it ourselves. Consistency in service would enhance the experience, but the self-service station for coffee, water, and juices was convenient. Breakfast options were excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all preferences. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. One small issue was being asked to leave a yogurt behind when I tried to take it out of the breakfast area. I understand the rule to prevent excessive takeaway, but I felt a little flexibility could be applied for small items. The rooms at Henann Tawala are impressive—spacious with great bathrooms and lovely balconies. Among the best we’ve stayed in, they’re comparable to high-end hotels like Radisson Blu in Cebu or Seda Ayala Central Block. The reception staff were incredibly helpful. They arranged a reasonably priced van for our trip to Tagbilaran, and the driver was punctual, providing a comfortable ride. He even dropped us off at the right spot for catching a van to Anda at the Dao Bus Terminal. One nice perk of staying here is the short walk to Henann's beachfront property, where you can use the sun loungers shaded by palm trees and enjoy drinks served by the staff. However, you can’t use the pool there, and you need to pick up towels from Henann Tawala before heading to the beach. The beach is beautiful, but there are quite a few hawkers selling tours, which can be a bit of a nuisance. We found better deals on Facebook. The sea is warm, though there’s a fair amount of seaweed. I’d recommend snorkeling to watch your step, as there are starfish and possibly sea urchins. We only swam once. If you buy mangosteen from beach vendors (150-200 pesos), check for ants, as one of our bags was full of them! Just outside the hotel’s main gates, there’s an ATM and a laundry shop that charges around 400 pesos for 5 kg, returning clothes washed, dried, and folded by 5 pm. It’s much cheaper than the hotel’s laundry service. We also tried the Kajun Restaurant nearby, which offers excellent chicken sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes in an American diner style. On the beachfront, our favorite restaurant was the Oasis Resort’s upstairs bar and restaurant, which has a cooling breeze and a great view of the beach. Every dish we tried was fantastic, and we highly recommend it. While our stay at Henann Tawala was wonderful, Panglao itself felt quite touristy. There were many Korean tourists, and a lot of locals trying to sell tours and services, which sometimes felt overwhelming. Prices were higher than we expected, especially for things like tricycles, which cost 150 pesos per person compared to the 12 pesos we paid in the provinces. Restaurant prices were also inflated, and even basic supplies came at a premium. If you prefer a quieter, more authentic experience, I’d recommend visiting somewhere like Anda. It has a more laid-back, provincial vibe, with friendlier locals and a slower pace of life, making it a peaceful alternative to the busy, touristy atmosphere of Panglao."

"the room had many molds in the bathroom whoch could easily be cleaned with a bathroom cleaning liquid. the closet had a bite from something like a termite. the cart used for room service was very dusty. the aircon vent clearly has not been cleaned for years since accumulated gray dust of 0.25 inches can be seen in the vent. the room we stayed at was near the side of the public beach. it was noisy in the daytime because of beach goers with loud karaoke speakers staff were exemplary but cleanliness needs to really be improved"

"Wonderful setting and well maintained beautiful garden, lovely and helpful staff, super-clean everything and lovely details like bathrobes and room amenities (tea, coffee, a carafe of water etc) made our stay. We also enjoyed our time at the swimming pool with a couple of mock-tails. One minor thing was the beaten track to get to the hotel, rocky and bumpy, or muddy after the rain, also chickens just behind the fence of our verandah and a cock that started shouting at 2am was a bit of nuisance but I guess thats something out of hotel’s control. The other thing would be lovely to improve is bed linen quality, cotton would be amazing"

"We loved this hotel! The service staff were amazing and went above and beyond to help us. Even when I left my iPhone charger, they sent their driver to bring it to me at my next hotel. Also, we love their tour guides. We had one driver named Vincent who was so great, accommodating and fun to talk to. We used him for two different day trips. The room is nice and looks like a beach apartment. It had two balconies, which was fun. Sometimes we have our meals on the balcony with the table. The pool is nice, very shallow and relaxing. We really enjoyed the service here!"

"During my 3-night, 5-day trip to Bohol, I stayed at Northzen for 2 nights. It was unfortunate that it cost almost twice as much as usual because it was the ***** New Year holiday, but… It was the best choice I made during my trip to Bohol, and I had a great time~~. Both the sunrise and the sunset were beautiful. The sea reflected the shadow of the sky, and the beautiful scenery was amazing. Personally, I liked the sunrise better. You have to take a tuk-tuk to get to Alona Beach (15 minutes/200 pesos), but the beach side feels a bit complicated… The leisurely and relaxed atmosphere of Northzen really makes you feel like you’re on a high-class vacation. I think it’s perfect for those who want to take their time. I suffered from seasickness after the hopping tour, but I was able to choose porridge from the breakfast menu. The porridge was so delicious and perfect for Korean tastes."

"1. I am very satisfied with the location. It is not in the downtown area and has its own independent beach. It is less crowded and beautiful! Very original! 2. Perfect service! ! From airport pick-up to check-in to consultation to sailing to check-out, the service in every aspect is absolutely perfect! ! We set out to sea at 6 o'clock. Others had to meet in the downtown area. We set off directly from the beach of the hotel and packed breakfast on board in advance! 3. The room is a little small...about 10 square meters. The room is indeed a bit shabby and crowded. 4. The dinner at the hotel is indeed very average and the price is quite expensive..."
