4-Star Hotels in Panglao Municipality

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean, and the staff are very friendly. The downside is that I saw a large cockroach one day, and when I informed the staff, they came to the room to deal with it. The bathroom sometimes had a sewage smell, which was unpleasant. It's about a 10-minute walk to the lively area near McDonald's. At night, a section of the road is very dark with no streetlights, so it's safer to take a tuk-tuk back to the hotel.

I personally think Sunville Hotel offers great value for money. It's clean and safe, though it can't compare to beachfront hotels since it's a bit of a distance to the beach—about 130 pesos by Grab. The restaurant on the first floor is excellent, and the food is delicious, but you do have to wait a while for your order. It's perfect for longer stays, like half a month or a month. Plus, you can book a massage directly to your room, which is super convenient and hassle-free.

The hotel's environment is great, and the kids had a blast in the pool. Since we spent most of our 3-day stay on day trips, the hotel offered good value for money. However, both of our rooms were assigned to the very end of the hall, with one being in the absolute corner. But after speaking with them, we were able to switch rooms. Aside from that issue, everything else was pretty good.

The taxi to Alona Beach is 50-100p. We arrived a few hours early, and they kindly allowed us to check in. The service was warm and welcoming. There are several Korean restaurants, a 7-Eleven, and a coffee shop right outside the hotel. The hotel's exterior is quite attractive, and the rooms are spacious with relatively new facilities. The bathroom even has a bucket and basin for washing clothes, and the balcony comes with a drying rack. It's also very quiet at night, and the bedding smells fresh. The only downside is the lack of stable hot water.

The room type I booked didn't match the pictures online; there was no sofa or coffee table. There's an old building and a newly renovated one (P2). My male companion was assigned to the new building, while my female friend and I were put in the old one. It felt like they were judging us. Plus, there were ants in the room – definitely wouldn't recommend it. The location is bad, far from the beach, and there are no convenience stores nearby. Also, checking in early was much more expensive than the same-day rate.

I stayed at Bohol Haitang Resort for one night as a temporary stopover while getting my diving certification in Bohol. It was perfectly adequate for that purpose. The ground floor room I stayed in felt quite damp, and the overall cleanliness was just average. I noticed stains around the sink and in the corners of the bathroom, so the cleaning wasn't very thorough. The upside is its convenient location, not far from the dive shop, making it suitable for a quick stay or short overnight. I wouldn't recommend it if you have high standards for accommodation and cleanliness. However, if you're on a budget and just need a simple place to crash for diving, without being too picky about your lodging, then staying here for a night could be an option.

I highly recommend this hotel for travelers looking for reasonable nightly rates and a very convenient location. It’s just a short walking distance to Alona Beach, with many restaurants and bars nearby, so there’s no need to rent a motorcycle you can easily walk everywhere from Harmony Hotel. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating, which made our stay even more comfortable. Overall, a great choice for a relaxing and hassle-free stay in Panglao.

What I enjoyed the most was the view wherever part of the hotel you are; whether you're at the balcony, or on the rooftop restaurant bar, poolside, or sunbathing area. The view is stunning! ✨ The staffs, they all have good manners and that's what matters most when it comes to treating guests. They are very polite and trained well. Not to mention their foods, it's all delicious and affordable. The whole stay was great and we had so much fun! Perfect place to relax with your family or loved ones! 👌💗

A peaceful retreat! We will definitely be back! If you are looking for a true escape to unwind and recharge, this resort is absolute perfection. The location is ideal because it is tucked away from the crowded resort areas, offering a uniquely quiet and serene atmosphere. Thanks to the peaceful surroundings, I enjoyed some of the best quality sleep and rest I have had in a long time. A huge bonus is its close proximity to South Farm, where we enjoyed incredibly delicious food. To top it all off, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our entire stay. We truly loved our time here and will definitely be back!

Cleanliness is a given, and the shuttle bus runs on time and the staff are friendly! Thanks to them, I have never been this satisfied with a place to stay during my many trips to Bohol. I was able to enjoy more activities by saving on tuk-tuk costs, and there are quite a few great restaurants nearby where you can eat without even having to go to Alona Beach. Delivery is also excellent, and the breakfast is pretty good 😉 (Make sure to try the pandesal bread that occasionally arrives around lunchtime!) The hotel I booked for my subsequent Cebu trip actually had issues with cleanliness and bugs, making this Cebu trip a place that kept me thinking about Bohol 💦💦 I personally feel like I don't necessarily need to go to Cebu anymore, and I will be telling my close diver friends about this place far and wide haha. I visited with colleagues from work, and they have already praised the place so much that they plan to definitely stay at La Medi for future bookings. I'll be back again!!
