AZ1020I really love this place. It's a resort with excellent value for money, and the service is enthusiastic. If I ever get the chance to visit Bohol again, I'd definitely stay here. However, for those who specifically want fine sandy beaches, none of the hotels along this stretch of beach would be suitable because there are a lot of pebbles. Also, Ctrip mentioned that the hotel offered Chinese-speaking service, but that wasn't actually the case.

This was by far the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during the May Day holiday. The common areas on the first floor are really well-decorated, and the hotel offers a wide range of activities and things to do. The food was just okay; breakfast was mediocre, and lunch, dinner, and drinks were all pretty average. But then again, I didn't have high hopes for Filipino food in general. The hotel's service and cleanliness were top-notch, and the beach was beautiful with options like sailing and kayaking. The biggest surprise was the scuba diving experience – the two masters were genuinely lovely, and we had an amazing time over four to five hours for 4000 pesos, seeing so much marine life. I'll definitely be back to stay here next time!

I was really worried after seeing some negative reviews online, but my experience here totally exceeded my expectations! Right from the entrance, there's a dedicated security guard with a firearm, and they check your reservation details every time you come in. The views are absolutely unbeatable. The BBC rooms are quieter than the Ocean and Thomas room types because there are fewer of them. The staff are also fantastic and very welcoming! If you walk a few hundred meters from the hotel entrance, you can take a tuk-tuk or just walk to the main road outside where there's a 7-Eleven and some local street food restaurants. A tuk-tuk to Alona Beach costs 200 pesos. If you have some space in your luggage, I recommend bringing some instant noodles, just in case you don't fancy the restaurant food – it's a good backup! 😁 Walking along the beach towards the Ocean and Thomas resorts, they both have security guards who will ask for your room number. Every time I went there and met a guard, they were all really nice and let me look around. The beach in front of Thomas has a lot of seaweed, the Ocean's beach is decent, but BBC's is absolutely stunning! Everyone's experience is different, of course.

Guest UserIt’s very close to Alona Beach, it’s very safe, and it’s very convenient to call a tutu car at the door. I ordered breakfast included, and I was full of energy every day to eat freshly made breakfast. Looking at the swimming pool inside the resort, the sun is shining, especially Comfortable, the manager, the proprietress, and the waiters are very careful to take care of everything and respond to requests. The room environment has basic needs, but it cannot be compared with domestic hotels. After all, Bohol Island is a semi-developed island, and the surrounding environment is relatively natural and simple

Conveniently located close enough to Alona beach to easily access all the restaurants, beaches, shops etc by scooter or tuktuk but also far away enough to not constantly be bothered by loud motors, tons of roosters and all that other noise.
Rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with safe, fridge, hair dryer and plenty of racks and hooks to hang and dry your clothes. There's also an outdoor gym area and the pool is big and good for swimming. Plus the wifi is very stable and great for working remotely.
Service is friendly and helpful, the restaurant is good too.
Can recommend the hotel

I found this hotel, Dolphin Bay, online and booked it because the price was amazing. I was genuinely surprised after checking in; I never expected such great value for money! Every corner and detail was spotless, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the room was also very quiet. The breakfast was plentiful, and I particularly loved their handmade bread—it was incredibly delicious and full of milky flavor. If you're coming to Bohol on a budget, you definitely shouldn't miss this incredibly high-value hotel! 👍🏻

The owner is Chinese, it is very convenient for communication, it is very convenient to have diving experience, and it is also very convenient to eat, but it needs to be booked, it is a bit slow, and everything else is good. He also arranged for us to go out to sea and island hopping, which is really a good travel experience.
