Golden Acqua Salou

This was my 3rd stay in Salou and by far the best hotel experience so far. Went half board so we could check what was on offer in the restaurant and if nothing took our fancy we would eat out. This only happened once in 10 nights. The restaurant has long serving hours for breakfast and dinner so unlike some all inclusive hotels where you have to fight for a table and get shoved around trying put food on a plate this was never the case here. The food was ok I’m a fussy eater but always found something or the chef would cook something to suit The entertainment was great fun and the girl running it worked hard to make it a happy holiday and she always had a smile for the residents. Now the pool area as usual people going early to put towels on the beds then not returning till late afternoon making it difficult for others but what can you do it’s just normal now on holidays. This hotel was mainly adults as not much for kids to do in the area but the kids there seemed happy. So if you just want to relax this hotel is ideal as it has indoor pool and sauna ect for adults The hill up to the hotel will be difficult for some elderly people but take it at a slow pace and get your breath half way up. The rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily. The staff looked after the residents around the pool bar and restaurant. I have read some poor reviews on here but I can only give you my experience and this is why I return in September

This was our 2nd visit the 1st been last October and it didn't disappoint, even the pool was warm. The hotel is spotless in all areas, our room was serviced everyday with clean towels and beds made. All the staff are very friendly,special mention to the staff in the restaurant super efficient. The hotel is up a small bank but nothing to strenuous with bars and restaurants nearby. We stayed Bed and Breakfast and it was fabulous with a very extensive choice. Hopefully if time allows we will go back in October

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. The staff were unbelievably friendly not to mention extremely helpful. The staff made this hotel a standout for me. The hotel itself was excellent too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great hotel 5 mins walk from the beach, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. All staff are great, very friendly. Stayed half board and always found plenty of choices, free water with dinner or you can pay for other drinks. Cocktails were amazing and drinks reasonably priced. Rooms are cleaned regularly, bed comfortable with good air-con & fridge. Stayed in Room 205 partial pool view. Around €10 in taxi to Portaventura. Bus stop to La pineda/Tarragona just down the road. Booked with Tui, first drop off around 30 mins from airport and pick up took about 1 hour. Would stay again.

Amazing hotel, great food, great staff especially Gloria on reception. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming hotel.

Hotel is excellent, ignore poor reviews, location is very good, near to the beach and town. Food is brilliant lots of choice and a really relaxed feel to restaurant, always two fresh fish choices at the grill as well as meat choices too. Loads of other hot options which are equally good. Staff all friendly and helpful. Rooms are good, aircon really easy digital controls. All in great hotel!
