Four Points by Sheraton Salt Lake City Airport
4.2/5117 Reviews
My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way to a wedding in Florida. We booked stays at several Four Points along the way. He’s a pilot and is usually the one to write reviews (he stays in a lot of hotels). In this case I was so upset with our experience I had to write one of my own. On our return trip (we live in Boise) we arrived at the Salt Lake airport and called the hotel multiple times trying to book shuttle ride back. It took about 6calls to finally get the front desk to answer. We brushed it off just figuring they were extra busy. He put us on hold multiple times but never got back to the line. Eventually he picked up and we got the shuttle booked. When we hadn’t seen it in about a half hour we tried calling the hotel back. The front desk agent kept putting us on hold again…when we had called back several times he started picking up the handset and hanging up on us. We booked a Lyft but, at the hour and twenty minute point the shuttle arrived so we got on with a Delta flight attendant and two other people. The shuttle had clearly been smoked in recently. All five of the passengers talked about that and mentioned it to the driver who told us he does smoke but that he had sprayed bug spray in the van because of mosquitos so the smell must have been that. We won’t ever stay at this location again. We are titanium elite members with Marriott so we are familiar with their properties and know that this experience was extremely out of the ordinary. When we arrived at the hotel, we did confront the desk person, Alex, and he flippantly informed us that he had put us on hold and hung up on us because he was instructed that the people at the desk had priority over phone calls. Funny thing is, the last call we made to him was when were in the hotel parking lot… we watched him pick up the phone and he said “please hold.” There wasn’t anyone at the desk. Last thing…their hot tub is out of order. So if that’s important to you, call before you book to see if it’s open. This was the evening of 10/9/22.
