A wonderful hotel in all respects near the historical center of Samarkand. The hotel is small, but cozy, clean and well-maintained. There is an ATM in the lobby, at the reception you can request a city tour. It is located near the University Boulevard, 15-20 minutes walk to the main historical sights. There is a large summer veranda on the 3rd floor. The room was very clean, daily cleaning was carried out. Safe, mini-bar, toiletries, towels and bathrobes are available. In the mornings, chic breakfasts in the buffet format allow you to be full until the evening. In general, in terms of price / quality, this is the best hotel option for a short stay in Samarkand. We received only positive emotions from staying here.

Incomplete description of the rooms: the standard does not have a window! This is not stated anywhere! The internal window faces the corridor, it is covered with a film that allows light to pass through. There are no black-out curtains, so we slept under a bright corridor lamp, which is installed opposite the pseudo-window and shines directly into the room. There is a problem with the light in the hotel: powerful cold-spectrum lamps are installed everywhere, the light in the room is like in an operating room, after 10 minutes it starts to hurt your eyes. The light is on everywhere, even on a sunny day: at breakfast (although there are panoramic windows), corridors, staircases. The safe in the room did not work. The toilet room needs improvement: the water doesn’t drain well, there is no shelf for accessories above the tiny sink, which makes it impossible to wash your face. Pros: good location, everything is new (but for allergy sufferers: there is a smell from the new coatings, which for some reason they are trying to drown out with fragrances: the smell in the corridors is like in the bathrooms). The room has a TV screen, but there is no TV, only Internet access. Breakfast is typical for Uzbekistan, except for the arrangement of fruit: slices of tangerine and apple, lavishly spread over one plate. Plus: a coffee machine, which is rarely found here. Our mistake: we booked directly. I recommend using booking sites: this is at least some leverage over the hotel, which is interested in reviews and ratings. And directly: upon arrival we find out that the room has no window. Who should I complain to?! No one. They refused to upgrade the room category, although only 6 rooms were occupied in the hotel. That is, if you book, it is the most expensive type of room and not for allergy sufferers.
