Kohinur Plaza ★★★★
"We stayed at the hotel for two nights and enjoyed the service at reception and breakfast—everyone was very friendly. The hotel itself is very cozy and beautiful! The courtyard is lovely, and you can see the Bibi-Khanym Mosque from your garden-view room. The location is great, close to Registan Square. The breakfast selection was a bit disappointing; it was quite limited (compared to a 3-star hotel in Tashkent, where you'd be spoiled for choice), but you certainly won't go hungry."
AL MARYAM HoteL ★★★
"The rooms are clean and interestingly decorated, in a unique Uzbek modern style, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location isn't an issue thanks to inexpensive taxis, but you can also walk to Gur-Emir in about half an hour. There are also shops and cafes not far from the hotel. The staff is very polite."
AD Bellagio
"Super class hotel"
Hilton Samarkand Regency ★★★★★
"The scenery is beautiful and it's very quiet. The location is a bit far out, so it's more convenient if you have a car. Without a car, getting to the city isn't very easy. It's suitable for a relaxing holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the city."
Sangzor Boutique Hotel ★★
"The room was clean and spacious."
Altair Boutique ★★★
"Excellent location and can easily walk to the major attractions. Hotel very tastefully decorated and clean. Good breakfast. Looks like a family run hotel and friendly staff. Definitely recommend 👌"
Mövenpick Samarkand ★★★★★
"Perfect location to walk to Registan Square. Gym was fantastic and the pool felt super nice on a hot afternoon 😍"
Gur Emir Palace ★★★
"The staff were all very kind, and it was great that they let me store my luggage until the evening after I checked out. Gur-e-Amir is about a 5-minute walk away, and Registan Square is about a 15-minute walk. I did notice two things: 1. The walls are quite thin. In the morning, I could hear not only the people in the next room but also conversations from the hallway, so it might be hard to relax. 2. The only power outlet was behind the mini-fridge at floor level, which was quite inconvenient."
Savitsky Plaza ★★★★
"The room was nice, with a small balcony where you could vaguely see the music and light show at night."

Rayyan Hotel Samarkand
"Excellent hotel right next to Samarkand's train station. (A maximum 5-minute walk, which was super convenient for us.) The room was clean and had everything we needed: a kettle, fridge, mugs, tea, and coffee. The bathroom was stocked with soap, shampoo, gel, and toothbrushes. There’s an outdoor pool with sun loungers, and the grounds are well-maintained (clean, mowed lawn, planted flowers). However, the pool water is very cold! Breakfasts were tasty; although a bit repetitive, you could easily mix and match different options. I was especially delighted by the local strawberries and the coffee from the machine at breakfast. 🥰 There's a beautiful restaurant on the top floor, but be aware that on weekends, there's loud music from evening until 11 PM. After 11 PM, it gets noticeably quieter and doesn't disturb sleep."
Zarafshon Parkside
"The room is clean and quiet, courtyard view is a bonus, location is strategically nearby places of attraction, dinner is fantastic with live band"
The Afrosiyob Hotel
"The best place in Samarkand very clean excellent service and we walked to everywhere. We couldn’t have picked up a better place to stay"
AMETIST HOTEL COMPLEX
"I really liked everything. Clean, comfortable, cozy. Breakfast was excellent."
Konigil Hotel
Hilton Garden Inn Samarkand
"Booked a month in advance, this hotel offers great value for money. It's quite close to most attractions, generally within a 15-minute taxi ride, though a bit further from the high-speed train station. There's a washing machine and dryer available, but the laundry pods come with a charge and are quite expensive. The front desk staff were very kind; they saw we weren't feeling well and helped us check in early. I'd recommend this as the top hotel choice in Samarkand."
Continental Hotel Samarkand
"Great location and a very nice staff."
Siab Boutique Hotel
"Excellent, cozy, and clean hotel! The breakfasts are delicious! Friendly owners and welcoming staff, always ready to help! Highly recommended!"
Classic hotel Samarkand
"Very nice new hotel, very friendly and helpful staff"
Shohjahon Palace Hotel & Spa
"Shahjahon Hotel is located in a very unassuming neighborhood, tucked among local houses and small shops. But once you step through its gates, you’re welcomed by a magnificent, quintessentially Uzbek façade, charming! Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was especially cozy after a long day of exploring. We were treated to a typical Uzbek breakfast, generous and nourishing. The hotel is just a short walk from Registan Square and the main historical attractions, making it very convenient. A lovely and comfortable base for exploring Samarkand."
Shahram Plus
"We arrived late, but check-in is 24/7. A very polite young man greeted us at the entrance, showed us everything, and explained it all. Breakfasts are modest; we only ate there once in two days. The room has everything, including slippers and disposable toothbrushes. The hotel is located near Islam Karimov Square, which is also where Registan is."
The Moonya Hotel
"Although taxis can't pull right up to the hotel entrance, they can get very close, so it's not inconvenient at all. It's about a 5-minute walk to Registan Square, making it a very convenient hotel for sightseeing. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, including some delicious vegetable options like eggplant and cauliflower that I hadn't seen elsewhere."
Muhayyo guest house
"The room is very new and big , location is convenient to all the attractions."
Medina Hotel Samarkand
"My wife and I stayed here from April 27th to 30th. Excellent location, close to Samarkand's sights. Luxurious room. Helpful and polite staff. Delicious breakfasts. In short, everything exceeded my expectations.👍"
MUSAVVIR
"The location is central near most of the major sites but there is currently heavy construction going on all around. The owner was super helpful and was more than happy to help with everything we asked. It had a nice relaxed feeling for drinking tea and reading a book in the courtyard. Overall a good place."
