Hotel Emma at Pearl on the Riverwalk

I’m pretty tough on hotel reviews. Two things, one, it was loud in our room when the AC (or whatever it was) came on a few times during the night. Secondly, the pillows were just too soft for my liking. That said, it wasn’t that loud, and I slept like a 3 year old after 5 hrs at the park. The bed was perfect, the sheets were excellent, the room service was phenomenal, and checking in and out was a breeze. I recommend the Supper restaurant, and the hotel bar was reminiscent of The Continental in the John Wick series, but better. It truly was the most relaxing place I have been too, and I have traveled the world.

We had a fabulous stay at Hotel Emma for three nights over NYE. The hotel itself (a former brewery) is beautiful and is located in the picturesque and very walkable Pearl District. The staff was friendly and very helpful: everyone from the complimentary drivers (we took advantage of this feature) to the front desk attendants, concierge, and housekeeping staff. Service was prompt and friendly. The rooms were clean and beautiful, as was the bathroom. I appreciated the lavender bath products from Los Poblanos, a picturesque farm and resort outside of Santa Fe, NM. The bed (we stayed in a king room) was very comfortable. It was too cold to swim, but the pool deck looked lovely, and the gym was adequate and up to date. We really enjoyed the cocktails and live music at the Sternewirth Bar, with refurbished beer fermenters where you can sit, drink, and relax. The library area is quaint and beautiful, and we liked grabbing coffee down there in the morning (or room service will have it delivered to you). They also have bikes available for hotel guests, so we rode them down the Riverwalk and directly into the Alamo, which was fun but not technically allowed. Overall, it was a great stay, and we loved our stay at the Hotel Emma!

Exceptional service Beautiful property I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Emma. Well located as well. Restaurants both in the hotel and outside, but still part of the property were also very good. Every employee that we came in contact with could not have been nicer or more accommodating.

Brent at the bar was AMAZING! He is so knowledgeable and does an amazing job on craft cocktails. Had the best French 75 ever! He was great to converse with and truly had a wealth of insight. He also made my husband a Monte Carlo and it was amazing. If you are a bourbon fan, hit him up for one!

Emma fell a little short this trip. Seemed it was an extraordinary busy weekend with many outside visitors present in the hotel be it due to the weather, holidays or the bowl game. Seems the hotel needs to figure out whether they want to cater to their guests or to the outside visitors coming in for a look.

Our stay was fantastic. Michael, the valet was extraordinarily helpful with information and details and took care of our bags and car. Amy at the front desk was extremely helpful getting us set up and giving us information. The room staff was attentive and very thorough with their work. The library was a great place to hang out have coffee and relax. We spent Christmas night dinner at supper, which was excellent. The bar was fantastic. We will be back. The Curio was a great place to shop and had a whole bunch of interesting gifts.
