Trouville Hotel by Compass Hospitality ★★★
"Enjoyed a lovely break at Trouville Hotel , all staff exceptional , efficient and friendly service ,the whole hotel is run like clockwork.Chef excellent , table service excellent bar staff and entertainment professional and enjoyable. Wonderful sea views from most rooms, the buildings a little run down around it but they have been sold so sure they will be changing very soon. Week done to all"
Premier Inn Isle Of Wight Sandown ★★★
"Attending for a funeral, all 5 rooms were paid for for early checking. The team greeted us with compassion and kindness. The lady on reception was accommodating and said if we needed anything just ask. On our return after the sad day we had drinks in the bar. Daniel and the team looked after us again with kindness. The breakfast was amazing and the sausages outstanding. Well done Chef I thoroughly recommend this hotel and with the team on hand you won’t want for anything. A credit to the premier inn team."
Premier Inn Isle of Wight, Sandown (Seafront) ★★★
"This is my favourite Premier Inn. It really is in the best place, any closer to the beach and it would be on it. Sandown is a great location for public transport as there are several bus routes to take you from one end of the island to the other. The train station is a short walk away although train travel is limited on the Isle. There is not a car park at this hotel. This is a relatively new building and it has air con in all rooms. You can book a sea view room and it is well worth it, opening the curtains to a view of the beach in the morning really starts your day. The beds are comfortable and the rooms lay out is what you would expect from a Premier Inn. The restaurant next to it provides the breakfast you have come to expect from Premier Inns. It doesn't belong to the hotel so there are not meal deals for the evening. Although I can recommend having a meal there. The Premier Inn staff are helpful, friendly and well informed of local attractions of which there several within walking distance. One word of warning Sandown has a steep hill between the main road and the esplanade I'd advise to go to lower end to walk to the hotel with luggage it's longer but safer. I have stayed here several times and look forward to doing so again."
Chaston Manor Hotel ★★★★
"Superb stay. Very comfortable, clean and excellent for families. Ample parking was provided. Breakfast was a definite highlight and location a big plus with local amenities nearby. Would highly recommend given personalised service and a very local feel in the Hotel.."
The Wight ★★★★
"Clean, hygienic and good service"
5 the Mall ★★★★
Altavia Hotel ★★
"I am genuinely stunned that this hotel is still operating in its current state. The owner, who claims to have been running the place for 30 years, is clearly stuck in the past, extremely rude, and completely unwilling to take feedback. For the sake of guests — especially children — it’s time to retire. My daughter stayed here on a school trip and the experience was unacceptable from start to finish. The children were not shown how to use the showers, meaning many had to wash in cold water. That is basic hospitality. Instead of helping, the owner chose to shout at the kids and even the teachers. Completely unprofessional behaviour. The rooms were tired, poorly maintained, and not cleaned daily. The entire hotel smelled unpleasant, and the hygiene standards were some of the worst I’ve come across. Maintenance is clearly neglected. The food situation was even more alarming. Some items were undercooked, others burnt, and the dishes were dirty. Chips were raw in the middle, toast was black, and shockingly, a nail and hair were found in a sandwich. This alone should prompt a visit from the local food inspection authorities. Beds and pillows were awful, offering no comfort at all. Overall, the facilities were extremely poor and nowhere near acceptable for paying guests — let alone children on a school trip. Be warned: stay far away from this hotel. And to the owner — do the right thing and retire. The standards here are not just outdated; they are unsafe."
Inglewood Guest House ★★★
"I can't fault my stay. The hosts made you feel welcome, and the atmosphere was lovely. The facilities where clean and tidy. And my room had all the amenities I needed for my stay. The location has retail shops, places to eat (pending your preference), public transport and ideal to walk to the beach nearby. The service provided was way and beyond. As this was value for money, I will be telling family and friends to consider booking this guest house. I am looking forward to booking my next stay with this establishment."
The Sandhill ★★★
"A real gem of a hotel located in Sandown within easy 5 minute walk from the railway station and short walk to town and beach. The overall impression was of a quaint family run hotel and well facilitated, including an excellent real ale at the bar. Food was of high quality, well cooked and presented. Dave and Andy (Wendy was away at time of our visit) are the epitomy of outstanding friendly customer service. Thoroughly recommend the Sandhill for a stay on the Isle of Wight."
