Wild Planet Eco Retreat

It is a very nice and quiet place to rest, to chill and to discover the jungle with amazing guides like Baba. The place is well located, near the entry of the reserve and near the little town if you need something. The hosts are friendly and everything is easy.

Highly recommend Wild Planet. It is arranged in a number of bungalows that authentically fit into a natural environment and are decorated with wonderful mud/ earth animal sculptures. Owner, Baba went to a lot of trouble to get my lost and found purse back to me in UK. Also very impressed with the work he is doing to educate the local people about the importance of the tigers and thereby help their survival. Amazing experience of a magnificent male tiger crossing the road in front of my jeep.....took my breath away.

Baba and the team at Wild Planet are simply fantastic. They live and breathe their conservation message and that care results in excellent facilities, great food, and exhilarating wildlife experiences. Tiger's are Baba's passion and we were lucky enough to experience the fruits of that passion along with Rhino, Elephant and so many other of Bardia's animals. Stay here and not just experience, but contribute to conservation.

The cottage rooms are spartan, but clean so expectations of normal hotel rooms should be suspended in order to enter a more family style experience with Baba & Prakesh leading the journey. The highlight of staying here are the almost private tours into the national park. During my four days I saw three tigers with their help

We spent a week cut off from the world in this little haven of peace. With us: Baba, his brother and the wild eco planet team. At the heart of nature in a soothing place, we let ourselves be carried away by the quiet rhythm of the life in Bardyia. The eco wild planet offers comfortable bedrooms in a quiet environment near the park entrance. There is a restaurant where the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. We also did a three-day safari. Two walking and one driving in a jeep. It was great to discover this incredible stretch of nature, fauna and flora. Baba and his brother are passionate and they easily shared this passion to us. It is not just a matter of seeing rhinos or Bengal tigers but also to understand the nature that surrounds us and to follow the tracks left by the different species. The cherry on the cake was of course these encounters, but we enjoyed every moment of calm, of walk, and of long wait, in this peaceful and relaxing environment. Going to Bardyia is a worthwhile expedition.

We stayed in Baba’s resort after a friend of mine recomended me the place. Room was cheap and perfect for a 3 nights stay, Baba is really nice and makes you feel at home.
