Scenic Hotels in Danba

"We are European tourists and already travelling for more than 50 days in the south part of China. Well, of all the good hotels or homestays we have been, this was the first time that we had a front desk person (Sherry) that spoke good English!!! Arrived at the busstation of Danba, we felt a bit lost and so we decided to phone the homestay knowing already that it would be useless as nobody would speak English... and big surprise!!! The woman answered in good English!!! WOW. She immediately organized a taxi to pick us up. When we arrived the staff took our luggage out of the taxi and took it up the stairs to our room. The homestay was very cosy with an stunning view (not far from viewpoint n.1 but with a much better completely amazing view). The rooms had outside on the balcony a table and a cosy sofa seating corner, protected from sun and rain where you could have soothe calm time while enjoying the beautiful sight; you see the whole mountainside and even the river! As Sherry travels a lot herself, she really knows what are the needs for her customers. She was so helpful with everything for us and she gave us much useful information for our next long itinerary. In the open lobby outside (a nice terras with a roof), there are several maps and we even changed our future route. Sitting on the sofas at the terras, the reception girls offered us tea and cookies and we even had a nice chat with English speaking people from Macao. 😊 The rooms, bed and bathroom are confortable and top clean with AC. As of the normal soap, shampoo and hairconditioner there was even bodylotion and disinfectant spray. There are 3 washing machines and a big place to dry your laundry. Just nearby there is a good restaurant and a little shop. In the night there is no noise. As Sherry was so kind, interesting and helpful, we even invited her to France. Hopefully we can see one day again! My husband and me were so happy to have chosen this homestay!"

"It is a cheap room in a beautiful place. It is very clean. The location is really beautiful. As a homestay it isn't ideal for people without transport. There is basically nothing around so you are quite reliant on the hosts for everything. But you have to ask for everything. I felt like quite a nuisance most of the time. But the mothers beef noodle soup and omelette were really excellent! They have hosted many foreigners before. Despite this communication is quite poor. The owner has WeChat so he should provide his number to guests so they can add him before they arrive. That way they can easily figure out the logistics of how to get here. Having said that once I did add the owner he was responsive and helpful."

"Perfect location and amazing views. Applicate that the restaurant has vegetarian options, though limited bit enough. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Free tea with an amazing view on the terrace."

"The room was very clean and spacious. The hostess was incredibly welcoming and even met us at the entrance. We had dinner at the guesthouse, and the portions were generous. The hostess is an amazing cook; her stir-fried dishes were so good I had two bowls of rice! Breakfast was also served at the guesthouse, and it was hearty and satisfying – absolutely fantastic. Plus, the outdoor scenery is beautiful! Fully recommend this place, it's truly excellent!!!"

"Two points: First, the hotel's location is superb, with amazing views. From the rooms and rooftop, you can see the Grand Canyon, Mount Mordo, and the villages. Waking up in the morning, opening the curtains, and seeing the golden Mount Mordo is truly healing. Second, the hotel has a smart toilet that can wash and dry your bottom – so high-tech! Just imagine it! 😂😂😂😂"

"It's clean and hygienic, and the decor and color scheme are very comfortable. The only downside is that parking is a bit inconvenient, likely due to the limited space in this county town. There's a really good hot pot restaurant nearby; if you're visiting Danba, be sure to check it out!"

"Ladies, if you're visiting Jiaju, I highly recommend this B&B! My friend and I were both visiting western Sichuan for the first time. We'd heard about Jiaju and were intrigued. We arrived and saw the distinctive local houses, so we decided to stay the night on a whim. There are so many B&Bs in this area, and my friend and I both thought the name of Banshan Yunju was unique, so we chose it! I felt so lucky for our first time. The owner was so warm and genuine! We were just hungry, so we ordered a few random dishes, but the flavors were surprisingly good! My friend and I were both incredibly full. The owner even made his own wontons, which were thin and filling—super delicious! We were lucky enough to even try the hidden menu (˵¯͒〰¯͒˵). We stayed in an upstairs room with a view. It was spotless! The bed was huge and comfortable! The local lady even called us ”Little Rams”! We woke up early and watched the sun rise over Golden Mountain. We were even lucky enough to see a rainbow during a sun shower! It was my first time getting so close to a rainbow, and I finally experienced the beauty of the misty mountains and the enchanting rain. After living in the city for too long, it's truly wonderful to return to nature. The feeling of relaxation truly made me forget all my fatigue! The owner's cat had just given birth, and they were so adorable! The owner even let me pet them! We were out in the sun this afternoon, and the owner's dog, Wangcai, was right there with us. He was incredibly affectionate and asked to be petted. 🥰🥰🥰 The owner even cut a small watermelon for my friend and me, so we could pet the dog while we basked in the sun and ate some watermelon. The weather was perfect, and the temperature was so comfortable. I'm thinking of bringing my family along for a summer vacation. I'd love to live this kind of paradise forever. 🥹 After dinner, I wandered around in the evening and saw the owner's little flower shed with lights. It was absolutely beautiful and photogenic! My friend and I took tons of photos together... The owner also took tons of photos of us, and he wasn't impatient at all. He even gave us pointers on how to take the best photos. This is the first time I've ever encountered such a kind owner in a B&B! This is the first time I've written such a long review. The owner looks so young, almost my dad's age. Time seems to slow down every day in such a beautiful place. This is also a ”windy place.” It was a truly worthwhile trip. I wish the boss good health and prosperous business!"

"🌳We checked in on July 9th, the weather was great! ☀️ The hotel service and food were fantastic! 🍃It was my first time in a ******* village. After arriving at the ticket office, we had to drive to the hotel. The weather was incredibly hot. Luckily, the ******* ladies at the hotel were very welcoming and attentive, even upgrading our room for free. That was great! 🌸There's a photo spot on the fourth floor of the hotel, which was fantastic. We spent the whole afternoon out having fun, and then at night, we were greeted by a huge moon and a sky full of stars. I really wanted to sleep on the rooftop! The next morning, I woke up at 7 a.m. to see the morning mist on the rooftop. The owner said that while the weather had been cloudy and misty the previous few days, the sun hadn't risen in the last two days! 😞 The ******* village was still stunning in the morning, and I even caught a glimpse of an unknown bird. It's such a peaceful and beautiful place. See you later! (My favorite part: breakfast was sour noodle soup and butter tea, which I devoured completely! 👍)"

"Facilities: Although the exterior architecture is in the local style, the interior decoration blends modern and local styles. There's also a private balcony, making it a very comfortable place. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: The environment is fantastic, located within the scenic area, perfectly integrated with nature and the local village. Service: The local aunties were very warm, kind, talkative, and lovely."

"Two years ago, I passed by Jiaju ******* Village and regretted not staying overnight. 🤭 This time, my trip to Western Sichuan led me to choose the Light and Forest Cliff Hotel, and it was absolutely rewarding! A special thanks to the lovely ladies at the front desk for their thoughtful service. The room was clean and bright. Since we arrived a bit late that day, the front desk had already turned on the air conditioning for us, which was such a warm gesture for our tired group after a long journey. 👍 The hotel is perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the great environment; the pictures speak for themselves! Early in the morning, the misty clouds make for fantastic photo opportunities. The restaurant's dishes were also quite good. I rarely write reviews, but I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers."
