Scenic Hotels in Danba

"We are European tourists and already travelling for more than 50 days in the south part of China. Well, of all the good hotels or homestays we have been, this was the first time that we had a front desk person (Sherry) that spoke good English!!! Arrived at the busstation of Danba, we felt a bit lost and so we decided to phone the homestay knowing already that it would be useless as nobody would speak English... and big surprise!!! The woman answered in good English!!! WOW. She immediately organized a taxi to pick us up. When we arrived the staff took our luggage out of the taxi and took it up the stairs to our room. The homestay was very cosy with an stunning view (not far from viewpoint n.1 but with a much better completely amazing view). The rooms had outside on the balcony a table and a cosy sofa seating corner, protected from sun and rain where you could have soothe calm time while enjoying the beautiful sight; you see the whole mountainside and even the river! As Sherry travels a lot herself, she really knows what are the needs for her customers. She was so helpful with everything for us and she gave us much useful information for our next long itinerary. In the open lobby outside (a nice terras with a roof), there are several maps and we even changed our future route. Sitting on the sofas at the terras, the reception girls offered us tea and cookies and we even had a nice chat with English speaking people from Macao. 😊 The rooms, bed and bathroom are confortable and top clean with AC. As of the normal soap, shampoo and hairconditioner there was even bodylotion and disinfectant spray. There are 3 washing machines and a big place to dry your laundry. Just nearby there is a good restaurant and a little shop. In the night there is no noise. As Sherry was so kind, interesting and helpful, we even invited her to France. Hopefully we can see one day again! My husband and me were so happy to have chosen this homestay!"

"It’s really a great hostel with stunning scenery. The breakfast is nice too! It’s a bit pity that we reached the hostel very late and had to leave in the early morning. It will be great to spend more time there to enjoy and relax, as well as to explore the area in order to better understand the culture of the *******."

"Environment: I really can’t say anything about it. It’s right in the mountains. You can see the mountains when you look up. The accommodation environment is also very clean. Facilities: Complete facilities, including TV, bathroom, and air conditioning Service: The boss is very nice, gives us free fruit, and also provides us with suggestions for meals. The only drawback is: I knew that this B&B was in the village, but I didn’t know that the village was a scenic spot. It cost 50 yuan for an adult ticket to enter the scenic spot. We were a temporary stopover during our trip to Western Sichuan, and the tickets for this scenic spot were very expensive. If we had a trip to visit the village, it would still be possible, but if we just stopped here, it would be a bit worthless."

"The entrance to the accommodation is quite mysterious and would be difficult. Fortunately, we rented a car and the driver was able to take us to our accommodation at almost 8 p.m. Even though it was daytime it was difficult. Because there is no sign pointing the way to the accommodation. And the door through to the accommodation is often closed to the point where it is uncertain whether or not you can enter or not. The road up the mountain is narrow. If you're not brave enough, you might be intimidated by the entrance to your accommodation. But the accommodation has a good a**osphere, quiet, beautiful view. Back garden with beautiful trees and flowers The mattress is electrically heated. The restaurant is nice and clean. What I really like is the view on the rooftop, which has a beautiful private corner in March. Prairie flowers bloom around the village. Accommodation is in *****Jiaju village. The accommodation can see the village but cannot walk, the air is thin, walking is tiring. You can see the village***** in the middle of the road from the accommodation. But high at the top of the mountain You have to take a car to get there. It looks easy, but it's not easy if you don't rent a car. It is recommended that renting a car is very convenient because the tourist areas are large and all beautiful."

"It was a rather unexpected B&B. The owner directly upgraded the room to a starry sky terrace room. The boss is simple and honest. Since it is the off-season and there is only our family there, he said the place is empty anyway. The location is excellent, overlooking the entire ******* village, the yard is full of flowers, and parking is available. There are also a few cats, very cute"

"Two years ago, I passed by Jiaju ******* Village and regretted not staying overnight. 🤭 This time, my trip to Western Sichuan led me to choose the Light and Forest Cliff Hotel, and it was absolutely rewarding! A special thanks to the lovely ladies at the front desk for their thoughtful service. The room was clean and bright. Since we arrived a bit late that day, the front desk had already turned on the air conditioning for us, which was such a warm gesture for our tired group after a long journey. 👍 The hotel is perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the great environment; the pictures speak for themselves! Early in the morning, the misty clouds make for fantastic photo opportunities. The restaurant's dishes were also quite good. I rarely write reviews, but I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers."

"Facilities: Although the exterior architecture is in the local style, the interior decoration blends modern and local styles. There's also a private balcony, making it a very comfortable place. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: The environment is fantastic, located within the scenic area, perfectly integrated with nature and the local village. Service: The local aunties were very warm, kind, talkative, and lovely."

"The host and his family were incredibly kind. They helped us carry our car full of luggage upstairs. They're pet-friendly; we brought our cat with us for free, and the hostess looked at it lovingly. The hostess's dog wasn't shy at all, even lying on the floor with its belly exposed. The room was spotless; the mother wiped the floor with a tissue, leaving no dirt. What a kind family! I wish you all the best!"

"The hosts were incredibly genuine and kind. They even had pears at their home and, though not fully ripe, generously let us pick and taste them ourselves. Staying within the ******* village was exceptionally quiet and peaceful, a perfect escape to forget all worries and truly immerse oneself in simple, natural village life. Tashi Delek!"
