"Booked two rooms and stayed for one night with the family. The inn is located near the interstate and overlooked the mountain. Breakfast was very simple—pancakes, coffee, cereals. The pancake was very good. The rooms were clean in general but had a scent of an old room. Staff was friendly and checked in / out was fast. Breakfast could be better but overall it was good."

"Read Hotel is a beautiful historic hotel. The lobby is classic and our Manor room was well appointed. We encountered two problems though. The front desk clerk was very short with us at checkin and seemed annoyed to answer our questions about valet parking. But, most importantly, our room was so very noisy at night. The walls are paper thin and we heard every conversation in the neighboring room. Also, the doors in our hallway closed with a loud bang every time a guest closed their door. It was one of the worst nights of sleep we have ever encountered in a hotel. At checkout the clerk did not greet us except to ask if we wanted our receipt printed or emailed. No “How was your stay?” was asked. We chose not to complain to her at checkout as she didn’t seemed concerned about us as guests."

"The location is a bit out of downtown really and shady. There were a few panhandling & such, just outside the hotel. The room was okay, in need of minor repairs & reclean. Since we were only staying one night & it’s a super busy weekend, we dealt with it. The blackout shade was very cute but don’t expect it to actually work! No bugs or anything. Smells well kept, sanitized and the staff were great. We did not eat the breakfast so I cannot review it. Would possibly stay again, on a less busy & less expensive weekend!!"

"On the hillside, facing the Mount Lookout, you can see the scenery of the mountains, or you can see the Christmas lights of Mount Lucaw. The room we stayed in was not big, but it was quite comfortable. It is important to note that there are a number of hotel chains in the Fairfield Hotel. We must figure out the address before we check in. We didn't set up the GPS. We suddenly went to another hotel more than 20 kilometers away."

"Reserved a “RiverView” room that overlooked the parking lot. And in their defense, the river was viewable-ish beyond that, but not what I would have paid extra for. And only more viewable if sitting up on one side of the bed. Overall a strange layout.
Called the front desk and was told no other options were available and that it was classified as “riverview” because it was on the 5th floor.
However, we did enjoy the restaurant and patio space with firepit."
