Blu Hotel Senales Zirm-Cristal
"Wonderful holiday, excellent food, lots of company and truly spectacular slopes always in the sun. After dinner there is a baby dance at the theater organized by some very talented and very nice entertainers: Zidane, Yuri, Ronald and Nataliia. I recommend this destination!"
Goldene Rose Karthaus
"We spent two magical nights at this exquisite resort. The town will charm you. We had plans to venture out to the most popular Dolomite sites but scrapped them because the resort drew us in. Everything is there to pamper and relax you. They have thought of every detail. We spent some time in the hot pool, sauna, and underground sauna. We also hiked around the reservoir. We wanted to go up the lift to their glacier resort but the lift was under renovation. They had a festival the day we left. The whole village turned out in costume. This was our favorite hotel of our two week journey! Go if you can. You won’t regret it."
Smart Hotel Firn
Sporthotel Kurzras
Hotel Vernagt
"A big thank you to all the staff, who were truly kind and attentive. Upon our arrival, having requested two separate beds, we were offered an extra room at no extra charge—a gesture we greatly appreciated. The hotel has a welcoming atmosphere, albeit a bit dated. Unfortunately, during our stay, the heating was only turned on for a few hours in the late afternoon and only on a few days, with very low temperatures: with around 7 degrees outside, the rooms were cold and quite damp. We were provided with a small heater, an appreciated gesture, but it's not the same as returning to a warm and pleasant environment. The wellness area is pleasant: a small but warm sauna, a somewhat shallow Turkish bath, and an average pool. The food was very good, with a truly excellent breakfast! The portions of the first course at dinner, however, were small for those returning hungry from a hike. One detail that seems to have become commonplace these days, but which I still find unfair, is the charge for tap water in the restaurant. It would be nice if it were offered as a welcome gesture. The beds weren't particularly comfortable, and the mattresses were a bit soft. Overall, a stay with some ups and downs, but certainly enhanced by the kindness of the staff."
Hotel Adlernest
"Our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teenage boys, and a large dog) stayed at the Adlernest in July 2023. The overall conclusion was, wow what an excellent visit! To be more specific: Room: We had a family suite with 2 bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, and a balcony. Also, plenty of storage space. The layout suited us perfectly as the boys had their own space, and our dog could be left in the shared space/balcony during meal times. Dog Friendly: The hotel advertises as being dog-friendly, which indeed it is. Our large 30kg (60lb) dog was welcome in all areas, except the restaurant and spa/pool areas. Food: 5 star from taste to presentation!! I often had the fish which was always cooked to perfection, or a vegetarian option which were likewise delicious. My boys and husband are carnivores, and the meat options, including the option to try local dry-aged beef, were all cooked perfectly and met with great enthusiasm. One son has a dietary constraint, and the resulting menus that were served to him were equally as good (thank you!). Desserts were also amazing! Activities: We used the gym, which had all the equipment we needed. We did not use the saunas, but the boys enjoyed the pool every day. Most of our time, however, was spent with outside activities, for which the hotel is ideally located. The front desk was both patient and very informative with all of our questions on what, where, and when -thank you! We did a few days of hiking, a day of mountain biking (the hotel has an agreement with the local bike rental shops for the bikes to be delivered and picked up at the hotel, which makes it very easy!), a day at the incredible rope-park, that's just up the road (by car or bus), and mountain carting. Gin tasting with Matthias (hotel owner) - this was really interesting, and we were surprised at how much we learned, from the history of gin to the different distilling methods, to how the experts taste. If you like Gin, we highly recommend this tasting and Matthias' own gin called Nest. Staff: Excellent service! Though everyone was wonderfully helpful, we would like to give a special shout out to Simon for his wine recommendations, for sharing his knowledge of the different local wines, and for his very kind offer of a home-made ginger and lemon tea for the one evening when our younger son was feeling unwell (too much dessert!). All around, an excellent stay at a superb hotel. Thoroughly recommended. "
