First time I have been to Italy and felt totally out of my depth. This resort is fabulous as they rarely have any foreigners ! This means you have to immerse yourself in restaurants with no menus, food you didn't know existed (3 courses of variously prepared raw fish which was swimming off the coast a few hours earlier) followed by a pasts dish and then the meal starts ! Carafe after carafe of excellent Sicilian wine - mostly very locally produced. The Marejada boasts a good view over the coast but also a tremendous host who will help you navigate your way around: providing beach furniture, calling restaurants in advance , setting up WiFi (I actually did a Zoom job interview from the breakfast room). Scoglitti is big enough to be fascinating and small enough to feel manageable and even cosy. Recommended for those who like to travel independently but have started to appreciate a little more comfort and security. Most relaxing.
