Shanghai Minhang District 3-star Hotels

Arrived midnight, check in smooth and receptionist kind to see we were tired gave room near elevator. Friendly and stayed overnight before heading out 8AM for my train. Overall it is worth it if you need to stay night or frequent use as a place to stay while u explore the surrounding or town. About 8to10mins didi ride to train station. Very thoughtful to have ear plugs etc. I am not light sleeper but this is thoughtful for hotel to prepare. And reception gave my kid a key chain as farewell gift when checking out. Overall recommended for price point and services offered.

Decent Stay, But Cleanliness Needs Improvement The hotel has a great location and looks nice overall, which I really appreciated. However, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. The sink wasn’t properly cleaned, there were strands of hair on the floor, and the bathroom had an unpleasant scent. It seems like housekeeping could do a much better job. If cleanliness improves, this would be a great place to stay.

Looks Like an Old Palace, But Not Worth the Price” I recently stayed at Kaiyuan Manju Select Hotel (Hongqiao Hub National Exhibition Center Store) and honestly, it felt more like stepping into a historic palace than a modern hotel. The building and rooms are huge, and there's definitely a classic, old-time vibe, but unfortunately, that didn't translate into a comfortable 4-star experience. While the bed was decent and room size impressive, the flooring was dirty, and there were ants and mosquitoes around, which made it hard to relax. The hotel overall feels worn out, like it hasn't been updated in a long time — more like something out of 1500-1600 BC/AD than a current-day premium stay. The breakfast was below average, with staff doing the bare minimum. There’s no nearby market, ATM, or convenience store, so it’s not great if you need quick access to essentials. The only plus is that it's relatively close to the domestic airport, which might suit transit travelers. ⚠️ Important Tip: Be cautious before booking. Double-check the location and what's included, because while it’s not terrible, there are definitely better options at the same price point. Think of this place more like an old palace with big rooms but poor upkeep, not a true 4-star hotel.

If you are just traveling through ShangHai for one or two nights, and you are arriving at or leaving from the ShangHai HongQiao Airport, for your money, this is a GREAT place to stay. First, even though the website says they will only provide one free shuttle transfer to or from the HongQiao airport, in fact, they provide a shuttle van for free BOTH ways. It is a very short ride from the airport, but just too far to walk. The rooms were clean, and the rooms were nicer inside than any other place i have been too for the money. They used some higher quality building materials than most other low cost hotels, and felt like i was staying in a a fairly nice place, instead of a bottom-end hotel. The van driver, the staff at the desk, and the servers at breakfast were all pleasant and competent. I added three US dollars for breakfast, and the breakfast was okay. There is a nice ”lake” nearby for a short walk. I only saw three negative things about the hotel. 1. The nearest Metro station is about 2 km away, so it is a long walk there to connect with the rest of the city. You might want to take a taxi. But if you could rent a bicycle from the hotel to the Metro, that could work well. 2. While there is one restaurant and one convenience store just in front of the hotel, there does not seem to be much else nearby, in terms of food or interesting things to see. 3. The bed was too firm, as most beds are for me in China. Again, if you are just in transit through ShangHai, it is a great place to stay. I would stay here again.

The service was very good! The room was very clean. The location is ok, not near the city center but close to the train station I use. The amenities are limited, no coffee or tea in the room. Good value for money though, definitely ok for the one night stay I needed

Very cooperative front desk. The chef was very nice made good vegetarian food for us in breakfast. They helped in taxi booking. Very good will book again and again

The prices in Shanghai are expensive, and this price is a reasonable price for the local area. The hotel is very new, with complete facilities and a large area. It is indeed a standard three-star hotel, not inferior to the Four Seasons. It is close to the airport, and there is noise from the takeoff and landing of airplanes, but it is not enough to affect sleep. I didn't have the breakfast because I left early.

It is very close to the airport and the train station. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the airport by taxi, which saves a lot of time for me who is on a business trip. The hotel facilities are very good, the breakfast is very rich, and the service attitude is very good!
