Shantou Jinping District Hotels

Hotel was previously known as Meritus, location is near 2 shopping complexes just a short 10 min walk away, only sad thing is furniture look a little tired after years without major renovation, breakfast is ok with lot of choices catering to both locals & foreigners.

Super good location that within walking distance to the most famous food street in Shantou -- 龙眼南路. It is also just a stone throw away from 2 major shopping centers -- MixC and Suning. EXCELLENT STAFFS & SUPER PROMPT SERVICE 👍💫🏆🥇✨️ -- they know we are not from China and offering us to add their WeChat for easier communication..Room service any enquiry, juat need to send them WeChat message and they will get it settled. Making our stay very convenient and peace of mind. Not to forget they have free laundry and simple free supper too! And I really love the scent of the hotel. NICE and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ♥️

Overall great hotel, centrally located walking distance to attractions and restaurants. Modern classic design that blended into colonial building themed. However, post using the in room amenities, it wasn’t practical.  For example, the washing basin  is rectangular without gradient, hence water wasn’t able to discharge properly. Same as the shower drainage, half way through shower, the tile floor was flooded as drainage was slow (luckily they fix it the day after). Sound proof wasn’t great, my room was near the elevator, I could hear people talking and coming in/out corridor throughout the night!

The hotel is right next to the Nanjing Hotel, a building built in the Republic of China. Downstairs is the M check-in point, a few minutes away from Shantou Hotel and Zhongshan Pavilion, and next door is the post office. The rice noodle rolls, souvenirs, and seafood porridge recommended by the store are very authentic. It is very quiet and clean, with sufficient air conditioning, and there is a coffee bar in the lobby. It exceeded expectations and I will recommend it to my friends.

This is a small hotel so service and amenities are a bit limited but given the price and location, it is still value for money. The hotel does provide two maps one showing surrounding interest in Shantou city and the other one the surrounding areas. The People's park and ferry terminal are just 10 minutes walk away.

Services and location are pretty good. Hygiene is very good. I like the shower utility the most, it’s really comfortable. I requested for help with the television and the staff was very efficient and helpful. One disappointment is the efficiency of the wifi and charging battery is way too slow. Overall, I had a satisfy experience there!

I just finished my perfect stay at this hotel and couldn’t help but write a good review to share with everyone! From the moment of booking, the hotel's attentive service makes people feel very comfortable. On arrival, the receptionist at the front desk was smiling and the check-in process was quick and professional.

The room is clean and tidy. The location is very good. It is right here in the small park. You can walk anywhere. It is next to Rongjiang River. It is really refreshing to run around the riverside trail in the morning. The hotel provides breakfast. Although it is only bread, eggs and milk, it provides convenience for customers who are not picky eaters. The bread is a little oily. It would be better to change the variety every day.

The front desk lady was very nice and upgraded me to a sea view room for free. The room was clean and spacious, with complete facilities. The floor-to-ceiling windows had a first-line sea view. The lights on the other side of the river were on at night, and the night view was nice. The hotel is in a good location, and it is very convenient for daily life and travel. You can order takeout to your room. Downstairs is the sea-viewing promenade, and you can walk to the square ferry. There is Shipaotai Park next to it, and it is also close to the small park.

The service is great and children will be taken into consideration The scent hits your face as soon as you enter the door. The children also like the environment very much. They look around and run around. They are very curious. It is difficult for children to like a place so much. The most important thing is that there is a washing machine and dryer, which is really suitable for people like us who are traveling for several days and have accumulated a lot of clothes to wash at once.
