PPaulaVery comfortable stay, spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed. Bath robes are a nice touch. Tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits which you can top up from stations on each corridor. Breakfast was very good.
GGuest UserI have used Doubletree Hilton in USA and this is much the same, including the cookie.
Hotel was pleasant enough for what it was. Comfortable bed and warm room. The shower wasn’t very hot but acceptable.
Breakfast was good but I thought £15 per night for car park a bit steep. Being next to the Sheffield United football ground I could understand the need to ration parking but this wasn’t a match day and there is not much close to attract drivers who might use the parking available.
LLauraHotel always feels very clear and fresh and I like the decor. Well located for supermarkets and restaurants. The reception area is very nice with comfy seating areas. Room was modern and functional. The lift was out of order when I arrived but noticed it had been fixed by the early morning so resolved quickly. A good place to stay in Sheffield.
KKOS24I stay at the Jonas every few weeks when I’m in a Sheffield for work. It’s not fancy and the rooms are small, but they are clean and the location is great - close to the uni and hospital. Outside noise is hit and miss - it’s in the student halls of residence so it can be loud. But it’s great to have a kitchen available and the staff are very nice.
MMengskyI wouldn't consider this a good stay, as I encountered several issues. First, the check-in process was a hassle since this hotel doesn't have a front desk. I spent hours calling the hotel, facing either ”Line busy” or no response after a long wait. If it wasn’t for Trip.com's customer service finally connecting with the hotel, I wouldn’t have known what to do. Second, the wooden door in my room was difficult to close; it required a hard push and made a loud ”bang.” The glass sliding door of the shower room was also problematic, it fell out on my first pull, and I'm certainly not strong enough to break a door with just one pull. Lastly, and most frustratingly, was the toilet paper situation. It was my first time encountering a toilet without a single roll of paper. I can't imagine what I would be if I hadn't brought my own in my bag that day. On a positive note, the room was well-equipped with a fridge, oven, heater, toaster, and even an iron, which suggests the hotel might have been quite good when the things are all good a few years ago, but not now.
GGuest UserThe hotel is not in the city center, the environment is super beautiful, surrounded by golf courses and parks. There are also cute and lively little squirrels in the park, the bed is big and comfortable, and there are snacks for delivery.
GGuest UserI stay regularly. It’s great value for a single room. The shower is good. The bed is comfortable enough. The location is great if you need access to the university. The only downside was my room was super hot. The heating was off at the radiator but I still had to sleep with the window open to make the temp bearable, which might be okay in other locations but there was lots of students walking by. Nonetheless, the hotel is good. Staff are nice. Clean and coat efficient. I’ll be back to stay again
GGillyBA great hotel in a good location for visitors to Sheffield. The advantage of staying slightly out of the city centre for free parking and a peaceful location. The rooms are clean, spacious and quiet in lovely grounds. We had 4 rooms with our party which were booked at a reasonable price and 2 were upgraded on arrival which was a bonus. The staff were friendly and welcoming especially the lady on reception. Would happily stay here again
IIt’s Me AntoVery close to the town centre. The lack of parking is not really up to the hotel since it’s down to the location, however. I would have liked some sort of parking discount to nearby parking spaces.
Good breakfast with a wide range despite being a “Budget” hotel. I was quite happy to see that.
GGuest UserThere are free breakfasts like bread or cereal. You can use the kitchen to cook simple meal. The location is near tram station but located uphill. If you bring big baggage be careful of the slope. Rooms are basically clean but the shared facilities are used by all the guests. You can't expect they are always clean. Hosts are friendly that would help you when you need.
