9.1/10
AAaronRoom was lovely and no complaints. However, breakfast was an absolute shambles. Waiters/waitresses trying to seat people at table where clearly people had their phones/drinks on. We went at 9am and considering breakfast shuts at 10:30 you’d expect there to be good options… wrong, when we went up, they had no beans bacon, a few sausages and barely any scrambled eggs left, no sliced bread by the toaster.
GGuest UserMuch as I like village Hotels I wish right across the country they would train bar staff to be more attentive
Because of the design of the bar they more often than not serve people approaching from reception when people have been waiting on the other side of the bar
First world problem but universally annoying
GGuest UserShopping trip to Portsmouth so it was convenient to stay at the hotel exactly within the outlet premises.
Bed was comfy, bathroom all okay. No complaints and would definitely stay again.
CCecilia_QQNice hotel,good location,many restaurants nearby,and close to Portsmouth & Southsea station.
Very nice staff, especially Hasan!Very enthusiastic and friendly! When we go back to the hotel,he always say hello to us. We feel so happy and warm. In other words,in Chinese we call it “宾至如归”. The meaning of “宾至如归” is guests feel at home. Thank you so much!
GGuest UserBest described as a quirky hotel. Rooms were ok; definitely three star.Clean but not for you if you're looking for modern up to date decor or amenities. No iron, hairdryer or mini bar in the rooms. Excellent Japanese food served in dining room or there's a more traditional menu.
GGuest UserThe Ibis Budget Hotel, is a very basic hotel as implies in the name. It's convenient for the accessing the Ferry, town centre by bus. Fratton station with trains to London is less than a10min walk.
There is no fancy trimmings here. The room was small, but clean. Offered a continental breakfast.
Located in walking distance from supermarket and fast food restaurants.
The Bus 1 goes from Gunwharf Ferry to the Southsea Pier; but be careful. This bus changes to a Bus 3 at the Southsea Pier. It carries on another hour plus towards Southampton etc.
All in all, the hotel offered my family a good rest after a long day out. The bottom double bed was very comfortable. Perhaps the bunk bit is not best suited to a teenager.
GGuest UserThe dining room and bar area very cold did not appear to have any heating. Room 135 never did get any hot water as at the end of the corridor. Insufficient staff but those in attendance worked very hard.
@@@Tommy@@This place meets the requirements of Hong Kong people. The most important thing is that it is clean and sanitary. The staff service is very good. The only problem is that the sound insulation is a little bit poor. You can hear a fart every minute. As the saying goes, it costs a penny. For what it’s worth, I personally don’t think this is a problem. Whether you go to the beach food street, you can get there in about 5 to 15 minutes! ! ! !
