Live Sintra Boutique Guest House ★★★★
"Well-decorated and comfortable, this place provides complimentary water, good quality sheets, and plenty of hooks for clothes, bags, and towels. Breakfast is included with the stay. It's close enough to walk to the city center, and the bus to the castle stops right after the station, near the accommodation. You can easily park on the street. There's a bakery and a convenience store nearby, as well as a laundromat further down. Definitely a great option."
Arribas Sintra Hotel ★★★★
"Superb ocean view, cozy atmosphere, and good food."
Sintra Green Chalet Bed & Breakfast ★★★
"This is a perfect hotel 🏨. The front desk staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. The station and bus terminal are both only about a 10-minute walk away, which was very convenient. However, I do miss the lack of a refrigerator."
MouraLua ★★★
"I had a wonderful stay at MouraLua, a charming guesthouse in Sintra. Its convenient location near the Sintra train station made it easily accessible. The cozy living room immediately made me feel at home. The attic room, although small, was sufficient for solo travelers like myself. Visiting during the non-peak season allowed me to enjoy a private bathroom. The clean kitchen, complete with a microwave, was a convenient feature. Communication for check-in and check-out was smooth, with quick responses from the friendly host. Despite arriving early, the host graciously allowed me to leave my bag for a few hours, showcasing their warm hospitality. I highly recommend MouraLua for a comfortable and welcoming stay in Sintra."
Valverde Sintra Palácio de Seteais - the Leading Hotels of the World ★★★★★
"Absolutely outstanding, highly recommended. The hotel itself is a tourist attraction. The Palace Hotel is inevitably a bit dated, but it's still beautifully maintained. After all, you pay for this elegant atmosphere."
Lawrences Hotel ★★★★★
"The hotel is poorly maintained in some areas and in need of restoration. The staff is friendly and attentive, the breakfast is nothing extraordinary, and there is very little information about what the hotel has to offer. Parking was very difficult to find. In short, it is not worth the price charged, but the stay was pleasant."
Pestana Sintra Golf - Conference & Spa Resort ★★★★
"A family resort full of kids, probably suitable for their needs, not ours, unfortunately. Not really the best experience for a couple trying to enjoy their stay. Both inside and outside pool full of children, ended up not swimming at all. There was only a buffet dinner available at the restaurant or some small snacks at the bar. We paid 15eur each for a ”caesar” salad, with the ingredients: lettuce, bread crutons, some burned bacon, chicken resembling a prebaked chicken from Lidl unfrosted from the freezer, and caesar sauce. Breakfast had some more choices, and gladly some fresh fruits, but no fresh juices like in all other hotels during our stay in Portugal, only the cheapest orange juice you can probably get. Even though the staff was very nice, the resort is quite run down looking and rooms very basic. Probably an ok stay for a family with smaller kids, couples try somewhere else."
Flag Hotel Lisboa-Sintra ★★
"The location is not great, and there are no restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. It's fine if you're just using it for sleeping."
Happy Holiday Sintra ★★★
"Leuk hotel"

"The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. Cristina's breakfast was delicious. There was free parking at the door."
WOT Ocean Soul
"The location was great. It was a shame there was no elevator. It was the best hotel for the price."
Moby Dick Lodge Colares
"Fantastic experience! The house is spacious, well-equipped, with a beautiful view of the valley; the terrace is a real bonus. The Moby Dick team prepared breakfasts, a picnic on the beach, and a typical Portuguese dinner for us. The beaches are nearby, ideal for surfing; we were able to take a group surf lesson, and the instructors were excellent! Shops are within walking distance. Getting to the beach, Cascais, and Sintra is easy by bus or Uber. A big thank you to Pedro, who helped us organize this tailor-made birthday weekend with friends. We'll definitely be back!"
Vila Gale Collection Sintra
"A very disappointing hotel; the quality was poor, and the staff were very lax. I would definitely not recommend it for this price."
Eighteen21 Houses - Quinta Velha
"Do not book the rooms on the ground floor. They are noisy because they are located next to the kitchen and the dining room (used for breakfast and evening meals). And a simple sliding door closes the rooms so in terms of soundproofing, it is really not optimal unless the noise from 7am in the morning does not bother you (noise of the electric citrus press....)"
Rosegarden Essence Sintra - by Unlock Hotels
"This hotel was lovely in so many ways! I injured myself whilst walking around Sintra and I couldn’t have been looked after better. Breakfast great, beds really comfortable, pillows good, bedding wonderfully unperfumed. Oh and the shower powerful and piping hot. Goes without saying that rooms and communal areas were clean and tidy The staff very professional ie knew their stuff but also friendly and kind."
Sintra Rural Home - Cerrado da Serra
"A truly exceptional, top-tier location. Sublime architecture with fantastic decor. Heated pool with a fantastic little farm! Spectacular atmosphere and service with super dedicated and helpful staff. Convenient location with easy access to Lisbon and Sintra. I loved it and will definitely return for holidays or business trips."
Penha Longa Resort
"I actually came here to film a promotional video. But I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel: no welcome guests upon arrival, no explanation about the hotel, leaky windows, ceilings, some areas neglected, definitely showing their age, the men's sauna didn't work, the whirlpool didn't work, the swimming pool has a maximum depth of 90 cm, the room furnishings are very basic, no beach bag provided, not even upon request, hardly any toiletries, no umbrella, no tour of the hotel grounds, not even upon request, and so on and so forth. The breakfast is very good, but the rest is at best a 3-4 star level. In short: if you're out golfing all day and only come to the hotel for breakfast and dinner, then it's okay."
Cerrado Das Fontainhas Spa
"The villa proved to be an exquisite retreat, providing an experience of comfort and luxury. As soon as we entered the villa, we were treated to an ambience of warmth and sophistication, thanks to the wonderful owners who had given their personal touch in every way. What truly made our stay memorable was the astounding service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. In conclusion, it was more than just a villa, its an experience unto itself."
Casa da Estefânea
"Beautiful, clean, quiet, and convenient – I give it a 5-star rating! The best part is the owner's dedication to making breakfast; it has a warm, homey feel! You might think it's hard to find, but it's right next to the art museum; it's on your right when facing the museum. There's a roundabout on your right; the exit opposite the roundabout is the street where the guesthouse is located. Counting from the roundabout, it's the second building on the left. I've circled it in red. I'm writing this in such detail to express my sincere gratitude for the owner's excellent service!"
Pousada Queluz
"Very nice hotel, very spacious room, attentive staff, very good breakfast."
WOT Sarrazola Soul
"The hotel is located in the village of Colares: the town center is about 2 km from the hotel and offers several restaurants and a good Continente supermarket. It's an excellent starting point for those wishing to visit Sintra, Cascais, Estori, Cabo de Rocal, or the nearby beaches. It has private parking, but spaces are limited. The property is very beautiful, and its highlights are certainly the common room with billiards and a piano, the terrace, and the charming garden where you can relax. The room overall, unfortunately, is inferior to the rest of the hotel: dated and slightly kitsch furnishings (the bedside table was literally a tree trunk that barely supported the lamp, so you couldn't even put your phone down...) and the bathroom absolutely needs updating, especially the old fixtures and the dangerous shower with a sinking showerhead. However, the cleanliness and quality of sleep were good, with a comfortable bed and no noise (the room overlooked the garden). The breakfast was good and plentiful, with everything you need, from sweet to savory. A positive note goes to the staff: they were all very friendly and kind. Overall, good value for money considering the area, and recommended for those traveling by car."
Passeio Sintra Collection
"Everything was amazing! Really nice and cozy room and tasty breakfast😊"
