Husband found this little pub on a walk so as we wanted dinner decided to pop in, we knew there was a quiz in we wanted to join too, went up at 5:45pm to find they don’t open til 6pm and were told it was fully booked but the quiz host said there had been a cancellation so we could get squeezed in, the night was a pie and quiz the food was amazing the quiz was brilliant and we were so warmly welcomed by the locals we can’t wait to go back

Had Sunday lunch and husband had fish. The food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Even more impressive that it's cooked outside on a wood burning oven. You may need to walk to the pub from a "park and walk" area, as no parking unless you are staying there, but easy 10 min walk for most people.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Food is amazing and the setting is lovely quiet oldy worldly. Chef does an amazing job to cook such wonderful food making do with the temporary cooking arrangements. Roast Beef was described as wonderful. Vegetables were superb and a meal in themselves

I love this fabulous pub . It ticks all the boxes . Fantastic food , great olde world charm , friendly staff and well priced considering the standard of the food . I had whole sea bass which was delicious , cooked to perfection and with a wonderful , flavoursome sauce . The pizzas are excellent and this is from somebody who wouldn’t order pizza normally. Would definitely recommend, I’ll certainly be returning when I next visit . Thanks to all the Tower team .

This is our third time eating at the Tower Inn and it was absolutely fabulous. The service is great, the pub is very traditional and cosy with a great atmosphere. The chef cooks outside on a griddle and BBQ type kitchen equipment. We had whole seabass and chips sprinkled with garlic. The fish was beautifully cooked and the sauce was delicious. Our daughters had the butternut squash ravioli and the burger and both were fantastic. We can't wait to return and try the sharing steak next time. Would Highly recommend.

We visited the tower in tonight for our evening meal, the setting is just amazing, but the food is outstanding, my husband had a fabulous sirloin steak, it was done to perfection, I had a mozzarella salad which was so gorgeous, the staff are so friendly and make you feel really welcome, think Adam was the barman he was very friendly, then Eve Katie Dom sorry can't remember all your names, but what a fabulous team, thanks very much for a wonderful evening.

Could not recommend more highly,. Immediately welcomed by a great atmosphere with attentive friendly staff. Cosy inviting tables with a lovely ambience. To top it off the food was all so delicious, done outside on the bbq / outdoor oven which gave it so much flavour. Go, it is a unique and fabulous pub.

Stopped by for a pint as a solo traveler. Very friendly service. Lovely pint of bitter. Sat and read my book listening to easy listening background music. Perfect! Didn’t eat but food being served to others smelt great and could hear customers being very complementary about the food. Great job guys!

We visited here as we were staying in Slapton with friends, we were a group of 8 & 5 dogs, we had a wonderful friendly welcome & the food was absolutely delicious, the staff were all attentive and helpful, wish we’d visited earlier in the week, would happily visit again anytime!
