Waited too long really to do this review which is an injustice to the hotel which is really good . Food Superb, great selection, very tasty ,efficient and very hygienic in nature ,Mahdi and Sahbi the dining hall superstars could not have looked after us any better ,a true credit to the hotel ,made my girlfriends birthday so special with a reserved beautifully decorated table ,a birthday cake and being so well spoilt by the whole team . Reception: Special mention to leif who helped us loads during our stay ,and also to the hotel manager who generously gave us an hour of his valuable time when we raised some issues down by the pool ,which he actioned over the next few days dispatching a veritable army of staff to resolve all issues raised ,you really cannot ask more than that in fairness!!. Housekeeping : Faultless, room was always spotlessly clean ,fridge filled up very often, always friendly and smiling which was lovely, even had a visit from the resident handyman on his rounds asking if we had any issues we had a very loose towel rail (small beans really),but within 5 minutes this Tunisian bob the builder had fixed it tidied up and continued on his d.i.y s.o.s hotel tour!! Room: Lovely, modern ,clean and faultless Drinks: typically a/I quality to be fair Entertainment: This is the hotels weak point to be fair not a good enough mix of hotel and external entertainment, very repetitive and not my own personal choice but lots there did enjoy it so horse for course I guess, that’s not to say the entertainment staff don’t work hard, make no mistake they do !! The great pool staff, poolside drinks staff ,gardeners, security everyone was so nice and approachable . And the critical point of this review we are looking forward to returning in October to see all these great and amazing people Give this hotel a go it’s well worth it . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So in short, expect to get a little less than what you paid for - This hotel is really a 3 star sistered with 2 either side of it, with fairly basic rooms and decor that’s tired and a little dated, but it has nice grounds, a decent sized outer pool with a snack bar, inside heated pool too. The daily food is simple but nice and caters pretty much the same each day, with the usual array of chicken, beef, lamb, dishes in Tunisia. Rice, pasta, veg, salad etc. Nothing fancy or varied in sea food either. Staff are lovely though, very polite, worked very hard and were accommodating wherever possible. We enjoyed their service. They do make an effort so do tip them, as most work for only £150-200 per month. A few negatives: Expect to get some guests that drink too much, are loud and the T shirt and sliders brigade, who wear the same for day and evening. Mostly English. There is a small bar area just off the main lounge where smoking is allowed. The problem is that it wafts into the seated area a lot. We hated this. There’s not enough seating in the lounge. There are some new large box cushion seats at either end, which are not comfy and have simply become a climbing area for kids. In off season they offer no pool towel service, so bring your own. We had a couple of issues as they did not have our booking on late night arrival, so we were given a room for the night. It had a water leak on inspection so we were given another. The next day we moved. Then this room had no air con/heating and it too leaked water when they opened the ceiling unit to attend to it. This was fixed though within just an hour. Finally we got a permanent room at 3pm the next day, so we lost a whole days holiday. No apology from the manager, not even a complimentary gesture, which is bad guest relations. The gym is old. The floor is torn all over so it’s actually dangerous. Weights are also very old, rusted, and some are even missing. Room contents: 2 comfy firm beds together. Big wall TV. Patio doors to balcony with table. Fridge, safe, hair dryer, black out curtains, chair, coffee table, 2 power sockets only, 3 section robe. Good shower over bath. Tile floor. Good sized room overall. Personally we would not return to this hotel. February temp was chilly, cloudy, it rained but was pleasant enough to on occasion sit out, so wear hoodies, sweatshirts etc

Hello I am going to give you my personal opinion in relation to what I have seen and experienced in this hotel it is not 4 stars sincerely I was taken in when I arrived I find no swimming pool neither indoors nor outdoors it is disappointing and the hearty breakfast it looks like the canteen of my old faculty in short it's just apartments for rent so no luxury

I stayed here as a female sole traveller for 2 weeks in July. After reaaing some of the bad reviews I was a bit unsure. Yes its daed as are most apartments in Tunisia but its spotlessly clean, Bedding and towels were changed daily great views scros to the besch and location straight across from the beach 10TD for parasol and sunbed for the day and all of the staff are nice and friendly. There is a cafe directly below for anything you need and the apartments are very spacious. Yes its loud at night as its on a main road with a lot of bars and night club. I used ear plugs and had no problems sleeping. I am a very fussy person when it comes to apartments and hotels and I would definatey recommend and stay again
Dar Antonia
4.5/557 Reviews
Dar Antonia is located in the Sousse Medina ; a wonderful Tunisian palace, converted into a boutique hotel. It only has a few rooms, hence not a lot of staff and it may be difficult to find someone at times. The place oozes charm, but comes with some practical disadvantages : lots of stairs to get anywhere, open bathroom, open toilet, noise from other rooms, etc It has a very upmarket (= expensive) restaurant, where a sensational fresh breakfast is served. A great rooftop space with a ”pool”, but it is the size of a spa ; a superb place to have a drink, but it proved to be hard to order any, as they have to come from the restaurant, two floors down (by stairs). Overall, Dar Antonia is your best choice if you like authentic charm and are prepared to put up with the impracticalities that are inherent to an old building.
