This is the easyJet of hotels. It sucks you in with a seemingly good deal, then takes off every conceivable extra to make up for it. Loads of little annoyances: - zero information in the room or check in about breakfast/dinner times, wifi etc - although the deal says "half board" this does not cover any drink at all, not even water. The waiters came up to me and took water away on several occasions. No water in room, no kettle. They even "accidentally" took a bottle of water I'd bought elsewhere. Pushing for you to buy the all-you-can-drink deal instead. - perhaps related: there were loud and violent fights in the corridors all 3 nights I was there. One night glass in the corridor from a domestic altercation, one night screaming children, one night a guy attacked a girl. I know because the corridors are so echoey that you could hear a mouse fart outside your room. - Nothing in the room. No do not disturb sign, no bag for the laundry, no fridge, no kettle, no hairdryer, AC didn't work. Cleaners came in on day 2, took my pillowcases and bath mat, opened the door to my balcony, and left. Meanwhile there were ***** on the floor. -Staff were unmotivated and patronising. I told reception that the phone in my room was broken and she just looked at me like "and?". I lost an item and staff couldn't even be bothered to look for it in their office. Every time I asked a simple question I got treated like I was clueless and naive, when I'm an experienced solo traveller of over a decade. Pros: the rooms are giant, the pool is nice and the buffet is pretty good. But all the little irritations caused a death of a thousand paper cuts and I was relieved to leave.

Had a great stay at Marhaba club. Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel was very smart. The food was very good, plenty of choice for everyone, waiting staff are really hard working and make an extra special effort to make you welcome and comfortable. Animation team are fun and friendly. Bar staff are all very kind and went out of their way to help. Thankyou all. The beach was lovely, and the staff helped make us comfortable. I would like to say a big thanks to Fatma, who oversees the guests, she was very caring and extra helpful when I had a medical issue, and regularly checked in with me. The only let down was that I paid for a sea view, but didn’t really get one, and I couldn’t sit on my balcony as the pool below was being renovated and it wasn’t great to look at and could be noisy at times. But guests had use of the pool next door if they wanted it. But all in all, it was a lovely holiday and I would happily return.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Lovely staff. Reception very helpful. Behind the bar have drinks ready on arrival. Toilets clean, bedrooms clean, and reception clean. Food is nice but the restaurant staff could be a little more present, and appear happier maybe. The decor is lovely and very modern and the shows at night are great. The atmosphere, the music, the staff and the animation team really do make it a good place to stay!! Most nights we are feeling the vibe and having a great time, and they are open to all music and requests. Thankyou to all!

Firstly the positive. Most of the staff were exceptional. All but a couple were very friendly and went out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The spa facility was very good. Enjoyed a massage and other treatments and certainly got value for money. The cocktails were basic, but very enjoyable. Now I’m struggling, so on to the not so great…. Food quality was average. Reasonable variety but poor quality ingredients. Various renovations were ongoing including the pool, which was out of action. The use of the sister hotel’s pool was available. The room I had, had a number of issues. The air conditioning unit only blew out warm out, whatever setting was used. I was told at the reception desk, that it was only for use in summer, despite temperatures hovering in the low 20s. The mini-fridge didn’t work. In fairness, it was replaced quickly, but by another fridge that was highly ineffective. A paper fan would’ve cooled things just as quickly. As a solo traveller, I only had one door key card, which also doubled up as the room’s electric power key. Leaving the room, meant removing the card from the power slot and thus the ineffective fridge became even worse, as it switched off. The furniture was very jaded (wonky drawers, chairs with legs about to come off etc). The bathroom needed new taps, better drainage, an improved design to stop the use of the shower creating a flood. The balcony sliding door wouldn’t lock, fortunately the room was only invaded by a rare mosquito. One power socket available. A welcoming kettle and 2 mugs on a tray, which had one sachet of fruit tea and nothing else. The all-inclusive snacks were a complete joke. They were only made available from 2.30pm until 5pm, and even then, the choice was a few nibbles brought out on a trolley. No ice creams, ice lollies, burgers, chips. None of that. There may have been a better selection at the neighbouring pool, however I didn’t find out. How this hotel has achieved a 4 star rating is beyond me. Self-rated? Sousse itself is incredibly run down. The best buildings are the hotels and restaurants. The rest looked half built, bombed out or just wasteland. So little to do. I thought I’d give Tunisia a try. I certainly won’t return.

Stayed at Marhaba Club with my teenage daughter for a week. We had the best time and cannot wait to go back! The rooms are cleaned every day, the views are stunning, the pool is currently being renovated but don't let that put you off because you can use the pool of their sister hotel which is a stones throw away, we were told 5 minutes walk away but it is not even 2 minutes. You can see it from the steps of the back of the hotel. The grounds are immaculate. Padri at the fish bar greets you with a smile every day on your short walk to the stunning beach. Everyone at Marhaba club is wonderful and so helpful. The reception staff, the waiters are wonderful especially Eesam. The cleaners, the receptionists, the beach staff, the security guard on the beach Karim, all kind and beautiful people. Each room has Netflix and great WiFi. On the beach they have Parasailing, jet ski rides, sofa speed boating and banana boats run by a lovely woman called Tina who makes you laugh with her bubbly personality as soon as you meet her. The food is plentiful and lovely. By far one of the best holidays I have had and best hotels I have stayed in. I honestly cannot wait to go back, we cried on the way home!
