Hotel Marhaba Club

This is the easyJet of hotels. It sucks you in with a seemingly good deal, then takes off every conceivable extra to make up for it. Loads of little annoyances: - zero information in the room or check in about breakfast/dinner times, wifi etc - although the deal says "half board" this does not cover any drink at all, not even water. The waiters came up to me and took water away on several occasions. No water in room, no kettle. They even "accidentally" took a bottle of water I'd bought elsewhere. Pushing for you to buy the all-you-can-drink deal instead. - perhaps related: there were loud and violent fights in the corridors all 3 nights I was there. One night glass in the corridor from a domestic altercation, one night screaming children, one night a guy attacked a girl. I know because the corridors are so echoey that you could hear a mouse fart outside your room. - Nothing in the room. No do not disturb sign, no bag for the laundry, no fridge, no kettle, no hairdryer, AC didn't work. Cleaners came in on day 2, took my pillowcases and bath mat, opened the door to my balcony, and left. Meanwhile there were ***** on the floor. -Staff were unmotivated and patronising. I told reception that the phone in my room was broken and she just looked at me like "and?". I lost an item and staff couldn't even be bothered to look for it in their office. Every time I asked a simple question I got treated like I was clueless and naive, when I'm an experienced solo traveller of over a decade. Pros: the rooms are giant, the pool is nice and the buffet is pretty good. But all the little irritations caused a death of a thousand paper cuts and I was relieved to leave.

I went on a holiday to Tunisia for my first time with my mum and grandad and stayed in marhaba club I was there for my birthday stayed 1 week they also got me up on stage and wished me a happy birthday i got to know 1 girl from the animation team her name was fouffa she was great always having a laugh the rooms where spotless cleaned everyday the staff where so helpful anything we needed we asked and if they could help they helped straight away and the food was great the hotel is really nice the private beach is great the pools are great and you are treated like royalty everyday I have booked to go back again for my birthday next year aswell 😀 I would really recommend this hotel for families or solo travellers

I would give this place a minus one. Room was dated and smelled of drains the cleaner did very little if anything. The TV did not work reported 4 times and was not repaired, The WiFi did not work in the room. Paper cups used for drinks in the main bar which was in the lobby which was also used for the entertainment. The snack bar was closed for renovation. Buildings around the pool are derelict and half boarded up. This was advertised as a 4T but is a 2T. Some of the photos used are for the hotel next door, you can use the indoor pool but nothing else. The food is limited and of poor quality the restaurant is very canteen like and the funiture is stained and dirty. Ongoing building work whilst we where there. If you want to rough it for a week on a very cheep deal then thats up to you but if you want a nice hotel experience then avoid this place. Staff in the restaurant and bar pleasent but understaffed leaving long queues for anything. Photos used by TUI website are very misleading and not a true representation of this hotel
