Outstanding
SSLB26Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Matsya. The location is midway between both sides of the island and very peaceful, although it is best if you have a car/scooter rather than relying on autos. The only downside was that the WiFi was very patchy.
GGuest UserAn amazing hotel to visit right by Govind Nagar beach. The hotel is very clean, with all that I could have wanted✨ Plus a super nice helpful manager and staff in general. Good food at the restaurant. Super nice room, comfortable bed etc.. also has hot shower. This felt like a harmonious place to stay. I would defiantly go there again if revisiting Havelock. Very happy to have stayed here 🙏😊✨
GGuest UserHotel was overall good. The place is quite secluded and you won't find any shops or restaurants nearby. Only option is the hotel restaurant but it didn't have much south Indian choices of food. It's not easy to get transport in and out of the place. Auto can charge upto 400rs for a single trip into the town. The beach is just walking distance from the hotel so that's a plus point.
GGuest UserThe property was good, well maintained but cleanliness was not upto the mark. there was dust in the room on all furnitures. When room cleaning was done, my bedsheet was not changed and they used the same one only again after neatly arranging it.
There was always some pungent smell in the bathroom.
There were not much options for breakfast in buffet. Always chole bhature. No fruits were available. They should work on this.
One complimentary meal was good, sufficient quantity but the taste was not that great.
Overall stay was comfortable and the staff is very cooperative specially the manager, Mr Veera. He was always ready to help.
They also helped my friend in planning a surprise by decorating my room on my birthday, which was awesome.
SsliceoflifeIt's a really beautiful hotel I loved my stay here the staff are wonderful and the vibe is really relaxed. I was a little tired towards the end of always being told ”we don't have that drink/that food/the chef isn't working”, and the rooms can be a little noisy but aside from this would 100% recommend.
DDonovan_lOne of the nicer hotels in Port blair. The lobby is very wide and minimalist. Staff took some time to process the check in, need to take photo of our passports and the visa page.
The room is spacious, air conditioner was very powerful, bathroom was large enough too.
The hotel is walking distance to the clock tower and the Cellular jail. Food wise, the breakfast is served at the top floor and there is an average selection of Indian food items. On one day, we asked them to pack breakfast as we had an early start. They only gave us jam sandwich and some biscuits, it was bad.
GGuest UserA very nice place to visit, right by the most amazing beach at Havelock✨ A laied back natural place with a closeness to the neighbors, and the neighboring dogs. It is easy to get a feel for another culture when living here, as one is just about taking part in others daily lives✨ People who run this place are nice, accommodating and helpful✨ Beds are a bit hard etc though, but nice when getting used to. It has got hot shower, good WiFi, and some amazing Indian food around. I loved my stay at this place. Thank you 🙏😊✨
GGuest UserGreat spacious rooms. Really value for money in terms of amenities and rooms. They nave a lovely pool and a greta vibe in the evenings. Great for night gazing. Location is also quite central and close to a lot of lovely restaurant. In house restaurant is not too great and the breakfast buffet was totally a dud. But otherwise service is decent. Nice budget place for a stay
SSLB26This place has the potential to be excellent, however it is extremely run down and in no way can be called a four star resort. There was no WiFi outside of the reception and nearby communal areas, the bathrooms were very dated, not to mention the sheer amount of rubbish around the beach.
GGuest User1. Stay was in a decent room. Staff was courteous but the room was provided late after a delay. 2. The basic amenities like towel, soap, shampoo, water, bucket, mug & dustbin that are to be in room were not present and were provided after asking for them. 3. Room service was good.
