This was one of the nicest little hotels we have stayed in. It was small with so much character. The walls inside and out were limestone and although it had many of the original features, it felt new. I think it was the staff that completed the stay. They couldn't do enough for you, and it was genuine. They were all so lovely. We didn't realise breakfast was included until they counted out a voucher for each night we stayed, which was for a wonderful restaurant (Seven) - you did have a choice of 2 restaurants but the staff in Zinfandel weren't nearly as welcoming and the food wasn't as good in my opinion. The staff in Seven were so friendly and the French toast was too die for! The hotel was about a 5 minute walk from the main town with an abundance of restaurants everywhere, yet you felt like you were in the sticks when you got inside the hotel, it was so quiet. It also had a nice little pool and a terrace too if you fancied a bit of time out. Don't be put off with it not having it's own restaurant or bar as there are so many around, the closest behind about 30/40 metres. We all loved it here, try it, you won't be disappointed.

Breakfeast was excellent. It was at local cafe, and you could choose meal from the menu. Hotel room was clean and in good location near everything. Swimming pool and reception was 500m away from the agava luxury rooms, but you could easily walk there.

Room we were given was in separate annex building 10 mins from hotel and up 4 flights of dinghy stairs, room was tiny with no windows that could be opened. Hotel owner very unhelpful when showed confirmation that this was not the room booked, booked triple room in the hotel not tiny double room with just enough room for bed and no windows in smelly annex building. She said there was nothing else available to offer us and couldn’t cancel or offer us refund. Luckily ******* changed our booking and booked us into another hotel. Be very careful when booking as doesn’t show anywhere on website what rooms are in the hotel and what rooms are in the disgusting annex building

As indicated on the reservation, room in an independent building 5 minutes from the hotel and its swimming pool. The room is small but clean and very well located, in the old town two minutes from the palace. The hotel staff is friendly.
