This was a rushed booking due to our original hotel not having our booking. Normally I spend considerable time going through reviews etc, but with the Azur Palace (hotel?) it was a case of needs must.
Unfortunately although we had booked a deluxe double in our opinion it didn’t match similar 4 star hotel deluxe rooms. I mentioned this to reception but they weren’t really interested.
Appreciate we were virtually in the centre of split, with space at a premium, but the view of a small alley with graffiti an empty minibar, not even plugged in, an irritating dim light, I think from the a/c that ensured the room wasn’t completely dark. After trying to close it down without success I went to reception, which had a note with a phone number to call. I gave up went back to the room and tried throwing a towel over it.
Also no bar, although there are a few within couple of minutes.
Overall disappointing.

Lovely room, small but delicious breakfast, friendly staff, walking distance of waterfront and historic downtown. Could sometimes hear the noise of the people outside our room which was right on the street, but it wasn't enough to cause any problems sleeping. Overall would definitely recommend and book again.

The service was not good, the facilities were not excellent, and I would not recommend it I would find another hotel or apartment. The mattress is on the floor- 4-star?

There are clear pros and cons.

Large parking space
3 minutes from the old town
Clean bathroom
Pretty because of the courtyard
Cons
No elevator
Parking space is large, but difficult to get in. Is this the right place?
Split is too noisy at night and the building itself is not soundproofed well
Breakfast does not have many varieties.

This gem of a property was well located and the staff were superb.
Easily walk through old city of Split from here. Garden courtyard was a pleasure for their wonderful breakfast.
Would stay here again at a moments notice.

Great little place. Literally next to the old city and walking distance to everywhere. Duje the young man on the front desk was really exceptional when we arrived; after a mishap left me returning to the airport, he made sure my family felt comfortable in the hotel, and even went to show them a nice restaurant when he came off shift. A very kind man!
