Stonemasons Heritage

The room was stunning and very clean. We were fortunate to have the room with a south facing balcony, which was a heat trap. It is situated in a very central area with lots of shops, bars, and restaurants near by. The things which let the room down was the bang average speed WiFi, that once several folk throughout the hotel were on went pretty slow, which is sometimes the case. The TV brand is Grundig, which I never heard of and is not got any smart settings. There is an option to project your phone/ipad to it. The only issue is if the Internet is slow then it sometimes won't recognise... Get new TVs! Communication could be improved, the gentlemen who checked us in said to contact him with any queries, I did so and had no reply. They could do with a system to drop off used towels and collect new clean towels from the reception area of the hotel. Hopefully this constructive feedback will be acted on as it is minors things as mentioned above that are lowering the overall experience for fellow guests.

Service is very good specially Toma which is very helpful to us. Room is beautiful and clean. Highly recommended and the place is very near in the centre. Place also safe even late night.

Toma is a perfect host, super friendly and offers a list of great recommendations as you check in. The rooms are decent and located just beside the old town. Clean rooms and ac! Couldn’t have asked for a better location or more helpful staff. Toma was available for any questions throughout the day.

Trying to check in late at night was difficult and stressful! You have to message the WhatsApp of the main company and hope they answer, and they don’t provide detailed directions in the confirmation for how to get in. It’s counterintuitive. You have to go in a dark green gate, go up some stairs and unlock the main door through a lockbox, then find your way to the room. Not enough labeling is provided. The main office was closed. I would say it is more of an AirBNB than a hotel because someone is not at the desk 24/7, and we didn’t even see anyone there during daytime hours. The room is 3/5, not that bad, it was fairly small, clean, but only 2 pillows were provided that were a little flat, and not enough bath towels. The internet was SLOW and unreliable so would not recommend for business travelers or anyone who needs to do video calls or streaming. The result was that we had to use our cellphone data plans for Internet which was expensive! WiFi at restaurants was much faster so I am sure that better internet plans do exist. Parking is not included and it costs around 1 euro to 1.5 euros per hour in a nearby parking lot. The location is great though and you can walk easily to the main part of town.

Lovely rooms in a great location. The rooms had nice facilities: fridge, coffee, aircon, etc. Ivica and Toma were especially helpful and provided us with lots of information on the area they were also quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely visit again.

The accomodation is located just perfectly, close to everything but still not noisy. The beds are fantastic, very comfy! The host was wonderful and always available when we had questions. There is also lots of space! I will definitely come back!

Wonderful and cozy place, I strongly recommend. The location is great and convenient, not far away from the city centre, maybe 5 minutes of walking distance. Nevertheless, the street is not that busy and overcrowded if you’re looking for less hectic location to stay.

We had a lovely time in Stonemasons last October. We found the apartment with Maps application easily. Check in was very fast and easy. Apartment was cozy, tidy and had everything we needed. We found couple of breakfast places in the neighborhood and tons of restaurants and coffee bars. Very close to city center. We had a lovely time here and sorry for being late with this review. We keep recommending this place to our friends and family. And now here too for you all. We will come back for sure!

Amazing location.... once you can find it! The building is not signposted on their gate, so there is no identification as to where you enter the hotel. We roamed around the hotel 'location' for around half an hour before randomly trying a gate and it leading to the building. Honestly, it's a nightmare. But once you know where to go it's fine. The hotel itself is not really a hotel, more like an Airbnb. There is no reception staff and no housekeeping. Our towels weren't changed and weren't fresh from the get go - we asked for extra pillows (they only left one in the room) and tea bags and were told these would be brought by the cleaner the next day... they were not. We weren't told how to get into and out of the rooms so were locked out one day, luckily we had the Whatsapp number of the owner so were able to get him to unlock the door, but the lack of care and attention was shocking. The rooms are modern and clean but quite noisy. For a short stay it's fine, but there are loads of places around here to stay, for the price I'd go elsewhere...
