Do not stay here. Dirty, sketchy, terrible management. We came to Springfield to see Lincoln Memorial and museum. We originally planned to stay 2 nights, but realized right away that the neighborhood was a high crime area and we did not feel safe. I was worried about leaving my vehicle in the parking lot over night. We tried to be polite to staff, and just explained that we saw everything we wanted to in Springfield. We did not want to cause an issue and even offered to leave a good review. They refused to refund us for the night we DID NOT STAY. On top of that the continental breakfast was terrible, the milk they put in the fridge was spoiled, bagels were rock hard, and there was almost nothing to pick from. The hotel smells terrible and the rooms were filthy.
It smelled the mildew and cigarettes. Save yourself the trouble and stay far, far away from this place. We would have been so willing to leave a good review if management was the least bit accommodating.

Front desk concierge Corrina was friendly, helpful and informative. Staff was always smiling and kind. Fitness room was convenient and quiet. Good location/parking. The only problem I had is the breakfast offerings were lean. I'm not a big fan of biscuits and gravy and wish there would have been some basic protein, like pork sausage and eggs, in the breakfast.

Suitable for an overnight stay
I loved the location , just a block from the Lincoln Presidential Library and other sites downtown.
Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. I liked the free parking and breakfast was included.

The whole city is empty, not much people. Kinda hard to stay especially of you are coming from crowded cities like Chicago!

I was hoping for a little bit better breakfast....Something like scrambled eggs, bacon , sausage.....

Mixed feelings
Great location. Hotel is within a pleasant walking distance, 10 to 20 minutes, ofat least five resturants, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library, Museum and the Lincoln Home.
The hotel's Sunday breakfast during my overnight stay was biscuits and gravy which I thought was quite good. Biscuits were flaky and moist. Ther was also the make your own waffle,yougart and apples and mandarin oranges as a fresh fruit option.
Niether I nor my husband had a comfortable night's sleep.
The bed was bumpy, hard and the pillows were lumpy. Please invest in new bedding.

We actually liked staying here. It was close to downtown. Just a short walk to the Lincoln library and home. The staff was friendly and helpful.
It just seemed (like all downtowns) like there were a few homeless people in the area, and a breadline a block away.

I stay at this hotel every time I am in Springfield. It is right on the edge of the downtown area, so lots of food options in the area. I usually visit Springfield for the Illinois State Fair in August, and this hotel is only a 5-minute drive from the fairgrounds. Always reasonably priced compared to several other hotels in the area. It's a bit older than some, but as long as you aren't looking for anything real modern or fancy, it is a solid stay.
