"Great cosy and relaxing stay at Orestis Hotel. Nassos is a great host and doing everything he can to make the stay comfortable. Pano Stalos is a little village about 5 minutes away from Stalos and 10 minutes away from Platanias (by car or taxi) - you can walk down to Stalos from the hotel in about 15 minutes. Taxi to STALOS is about 8€ and taxi to the middle of Platanias (very touristy) is 13€. There is one restaurant in the village and one terverna which has great and cheap food. Very authentic. We surely come back"

"Best boutique hotel ever! To start with, the location was perfect, right on the beach a few miles away from Chania center. The setting was incredible and quiet, since there are only 8 rooms total, and no kids were allowed. Our room was quite big with all the amenities you could think of. The breakfast was out of this world. It was the best part of the day. The cooks were outstanding, and the quality of the food was perfect. Even though there was a fixed menu you could order from, they always had some specials, and you could pretty much ask for anything. Most of all, the staff was incredibly pleasant, helpful, and genuinely kind. They were always ready to please us with any of our requests. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much, and it was probably our best boutique hotel experience ever. If we go back to Crete, we will definitely stay there again."

"Met upon arrival by the owner who took us to our room, 1 bedroomed apartment, adequate room slight issue with air conditioning on the second day that was rectified as soon as we mentioned it. Family size fridge and larger than expected freezer. Room cleaned, bedding changed and towels numerous times during our stay. Great pool that we had for the majority of the time on our own despite apartments being full. We were a party of 9 4 adults 5 kids aged 17,15,15,13,13. Used Espirides pool and beach opposite, ideal base for exploring also visited Agia Marina and Las Platinas. Bus stop 2 mins away with easy access to Chania Old Town, water park Would recommend the apartments GREAT HOSTS, we’ve had a great time"

We had a family vacation, there was a room with a side view of the sea, the views from the room are simply amazing, the hotel is very beautiful and stylish, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. A pleasant and polite hostess, told me where it is better to have dinner, where to buy groceries. Large spacious room, has everything you need, convenient location, bus stop, shops and taverns nearby, excellent sandy beach. The rest was magical. I recommend. 10 out of 10"

"The family-run structure is very comfortable for the beaches and services.The reception was excellent, the owner is very nice and makes you feel comfortable at any time. The hotel has a great price quality ratio and although not being the subject of recent modernization is really comfortable. All-day cleaning is unfair. It has a very nice pool on the back. Heavy advice for the authenticity of the hotel."

"The hospitality of the place is truly genuine, you feel at home instantly. No matter what, they help you out. A very quiet place at the beginning of the beach, you can easily relax at the balcony with just the waves sounding. No rush in the morning to get ont of the (free) sunbeds. We went for several walks up and down the beach and no other hotel felt better than Girogialis. The other hotels are more classic tourist places with a lot of people in the crowded sunbeds. Room with big bed, excellent air conditioning, bathroom is fine. Calm. Relax. Enjoy the beach just a staircase down from the pool area. We also had a kind surprise from Mike to celebrate our special occasion. So touching! We can’t wait to return. Love this place!!!"

"If you want to experience Cretan hospitality very near to a large and attractive beach with plenty of authentic tavernas nearby and also beautiful walks in the hills with olive groves and Mountain Views, this is the perfect place. Melina and Antonis are such kind and generous hosts who make you feel like old friends. The accommodation we stayed in was comfortable, in perfect condition, very clean and well organised with beautiful views of the sea from the balcony. There was everything we needed for our two week stay and they also lent us beach mat and sun umbrellas so we didn't have to buy them. They gave us helpful advice and answered all of our questions about the area patiently and always with a smile! We were delighted with our stay from every point of view and will be recommending it to friends and family. We also recommend our favourite Taverna, Katsarales which just happens to be the closest! We will be back!"
