The location was absolutely fantastic! Our balcony offered direct views of the terraced fields. The hygiene, environment, and facilities were all exceptionally clean and great. We especially loved the smart toilet. The young lady who greeted us was incredibly warm and helpful; she assisted with our luggage, recommended restaurants, and even shared some tofu pudding with our child, and gave us some fragrant rice! She must have been from the Hani ethnic group. Our only regret was that it rained early in the morning, so we didn't get to see or photograph the sunrise. All in all, if we ever come back, we'll definitely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends.

The room has a small air conditioner, and there's plenty of hot water. You can also catch beautiful sunsets and sunrises from the rooftop. They also offer traditional Hani ethnic clothing. The clothes feel really high-quality and substantial when you wear them – perfect for amazing photos. 😍😍 What's even better is that their food is truly delicious. My sister is quite a picky eater, but she absolutely loved their dipping sauce chicken! 👊👊 Finally, for watching the sunrise, you should definitely go to their village's viewing platform. It's much better than going to the paid scenic spots or other free, hidden corners. I hired a driver who took me to a free sunrise viewing spot that was quite remote, and the view wasn't great. After watching the sunrise there, we came back to the village. When we passed the viewing platform, I was stunned by the sight! ❗ You absolutely *must* go to the village's free viewing platform (it's incredible value for money).

The room was very spacious and clean, with down comforters. The owner must have had it designed; the decor and quality were excellent. The food in the cafeteria was especially delicious. Although there were trendy restaurants nearby, we chose to eat at the guesthouse, and it was definitely the right choice. The ingredients were good, and the food tasted great. I glanced at the kitchen, and it was very clean and reassuring. The owner and head chef were very down-to-earth, which was reassuring. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu viewing platform, which conveniently avoids the traffic congestion, and it's also closer to the sea of ​​clouds. The sea of ​​clouds in the picture was seen about 200 meters away from Duoyishu from the guesthouse; there was no sea of ​​clouds at Duoyishu that day.

Everything was so nice. I really enjoyed my time here! It started perfect with a free room upgrade. Then, it continued to be perfect with lots of cuddles with the dog and cat. I love the location of the guesthouse. It’s in the middle of a Hani village. You can watch the farmers doing their incredible work. You can make nice walks here. And the hosts is really helpful and can give you great advice. I am a country side girl and for me this place was absolutely perfect to calm my soul.

The inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

This hotel is very well located, just next to the main road and only 100 meters from the scenic platform, making it super convenient for visiting the famous rice terraces. Breakfast is served in a small restaurant downstairs, offering a Chinese-style noodle soup. The staff were very helpful—the lady at the reception arranged a van for me to return to Mengzi since there’s no fixed bus schedule in the area. The rooms have a nice view of the terraces and nearby towns, though some buildings partially block the scenery. The only downside was the bathroom—when taking a shower, water splashed all over the floor because there wasn’t a proper shower enclosure. A glass partition or curtain would really improve this. Overall, a good stay thanks to the great location and helpful service, just needs a small upgrade in the bathroom!

What a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea. Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset. We loved it here! We had a great time in Pugao, and this was mainly due to our great host Alice! She speaks English very well, and helped us a lot with getting around town. She recommended two very nice hikes, where we crossed multiple villages, and had beautiful rice terrace views without any other tourists. It is good to note that not all of the pictures on trip.com are accurate, as the timeless hostel is currently under renovation. She has two rooms available now, which makes it feel more like a homestay than a hostel. The address is not exactly accurate, but Alice will contact you in advance to help you find the place.

The location is very good, walking distance to the terraces! The room is very good, and it matches the photos and descriptions, but the service was almost non-existent. When we arrived we were received only by kids and a teenager checked us in. No adults were seen on site until the last day of our 3-day stay. On our first morning, we were woken up by a couple trying to enter our room because the kids had checked them in and gave them the key to our room! It was supposed to have breakfast included, but there was no one there to even ask about it. Internet did not work 2 out of the 3 days we were there. Neither did the hot water. I understand that some of these things might be because it's off-season, but if they can't offer services like breakfast, they should not include it in the hotel description.

The boss is a lady from Henan Province. She is very welcoming. Before I left, she introduced a chartered car driver to me and reserved an electric blanket for my room. After arriving, we were introduced to the free viewing area and could order food and cook at any time. But to be honest, the room was still a bit cramped and there was barely enough space between the beds. I heard that the voltage on the mountain is unstable and there are always power outages. I also caught one this time🙈 The inn is not far from the Duoyishu Observation Deck, and it only takes ten minutes to walk there. There is a village below, where you can go down to the terraced fields and take a stroll. After I went there, I realized that the price and quality of accommodation at Yuanyang Rice Terraces vary greatly, especially during holidays, so it depends on your personal preference.
