NNisargYalakhom is situated at a remote yet accessible village in Himachal Pradesh called - Kalgha. Kalgha comes in the way to Kheerganga Trek, so those who are planning to go for the trek may consider staying at Yalakhom, as it is a great place to rewind and relax. I stayed at Yalakhom in the first week of June, the weather was pleasant and the rains made my stay even more pleasurable. When you will be at Yalakhom there won’t be any view you could take your eyes off.
The people managing the homestay are also great. They take their time in cooking food, but they will serve you the freshest food possible with wide variety to choose from, that too at such a remote place. The wonderful folks at Yalakhom also offer accompanied guidance for treks, however I wasn’t aware of this until my final day at Yalakhom, so I couldn’t make use of the same. Pemba bhai, Agrimji, Resham bhai and Yangzee didi must be specifically mentioned. They will accomodate you as you are their friend, while respecting your privacy at the same time.
I highly recommend Yalakhom notwithstanding your purpose of vacation, be it trekking or taking a peaceful break at the Himalayas.

GGuest UserThe property is tucked away at nehru kund, away from the hustle and bustle of manali town. The sound of the river flowing by is very audible and adds to the charm of the roof top cafe. The cafe is a very nice place to sit. And relax, if that is what you intend to do. Tastefully done up, the ambience adds to the charm. They make good coffees. Rest of the food is average or better. Service is adequate as is the cleanliness. Rooms are simple but nice. In the winters they will give you electric blankets ot help keep the bed warm. You can always ask for a room heater which costs rs. 500. Among the rooms, the ”mountain view” rooms give a glimpse of the snow peak. If you take the other ones, you can always come up to the cafe for the view. It is possible to walk down to the river, if you so wish.

GGuest UserI had a good stay overall. The location is excellent—right in the main area with easy access to everything you might need. There's also free limited public parking nearby, which is definitely a plus. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout.
However, the on-site café felt a bit overpriced for what it offers. More concerning was the electricity issue. There were frequent power outages, and the property doesn't seem to have an adequate back-up power supply, which was quite inconvenient at times.

GGuest UserWe had a beautiful experience staying here. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The washroom was neat with hot water available. The best part was the peaceful atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and the food was yummy. If you want to spend quality time with your loved one, this is the place to be.
