The hotel is located in the center of Monterey. The pick-up room was small, but it had coffee and snacks. We arrived at 12:30 and asked if we could leave our luggage. They offered to drive us to the 17-Mile Drive and Carmel-by-the-Sea. The front desk initially said there would be a $20 fee for early check-in, but since we asked to store our luggage, they probably thought it was too much trouble and agreed to let us check in early for free. The room had a microwave and refrigerator, a separate shower and toilet, and large windows. The only downside was the lack of an elevator; we had to carry our luggage to the second floor ourselves, though it wasn't too high. The hotel was quiet and safe. We were very satisfied.
