The roundabout route passes through Egilsstadir, the hotel is three kilometers from the town and it is very convenient to drive by car. This is a homestay, the whole house has 6 rooms and contains a separate bathroom, kitchen and dining room. Check-in is self-service, the key box password at the door will be sent to you in advance and the room number will be specified. The hotel is clean and tidy, the house is of the right size, the two people are not crowded, the tableware is complete, and the restaurant is also very large. It is about 10km away from the town, but there is no particular inconvenience in shopping. A cute cat welcomed me. I felt a little cold because the heating in the room was out of order.

It belongs to a family hotel. When it arrives, the boss puts the key at the door and takes it by name. The door is the famous Rainbow Road, and there is a restaurant next to it, which is very convenient. We chased the aurora here. The staff at the restaurant next to us suggested that we drive out a little bit, and it is easy to see without lights. We drove out for five minutes and stopped on the side of the road. We took a picture in a while. It was not a busy trip.

The studio is close to a supermarket (5 minutes drive). There is cooking space inside the room. Washing machine is available in the lobby.

Wasn't expecting much but ended up so pleasantly surprised! My elderly parents and I absolutely loved our stay here! One of the best places we stayed in Iceland this trip. The Guesthouse manager (matnus? Sorry I'm not sure how his name is spelt!) was kind enough to help us arrange a last minute change of room as we changed our minds and wanted to upgrade to a bigger room. We stayed at the one bedroom apartment and everything was lovely. Squeaky clean, even for a clean freak like me. The place was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. I noticed there is a thick layer of cushion over the sofa bed so this was the most comfortable sofa bed I've ever slept on. My parents also said the double bed was very very comfortable. Highly highly recommend this Guesthouse!

The most satisfying hotel in Iceland's itinerary, very Nordic, just on the lakeside of the town, convenient parking, you can go to the mountain behind the hotel to see the aurora at night, no light pollution
