My overall experience staying at an apartment hotel in Japan this time was quite good. The room was more spacious than a typical hotel room and came with amenities like a kitchenette and washing machine, making it very convenient and home-like. It's especially suitable for longer trips or families. Coming back to the room every day and being able to truly relax definitely added a lot to my trip.
While there were a few minor hiccups, such as not receiving the room number and password upon check-in and it taking a little time to contact the front desk, the hotel staff were very patient and helpful in resolving the issues, and their friendly attitude made me feel at ease.
Overall, this stay was still pleasant and highly recommendable. Not only was it comfortable and convenient, but it also offered a more authentic feeling of living like a local. I would definitely consider choosing an apartment hotel again on my next visit to Japan.

Miss_ammmeeThe apartment had a kitchen, a living room for watching TV, and a washing machine. You could also rent bicycles.
In the mornings, there was coffee and breakfast available.
Enjoying the beautiful views from the rooftop, what a comfortable feeling, absolutely nothing to complain about!
I'd definitely come back to Miyako Island again if I get the chance!

쿠마킴This newly built hotel is spacious with excellent facilities. It's very close to the airport, and you can easily walk to Don Quijote and MaxValu nearby. The reception offers complimentary use of a coffee machine and various amenities. They really have everything you need, almost to the point where you could arrive empty-handed – it was fantastic!
I appreciated having a kitchen for cooking, and there's even a washing machine with a drying function. The sink area is very wide, and the separated bathroom has a bathtub and strong water pressure, which was a big plus.
The only minor downside was that some areas weren't thoroughly cleaned, so it would be perfect if that could be improved. If I visit Miyakojima again, I'd definitely want to stay here.

The hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was very convenient, and the accommodation itself was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We especially appreciated having the ability to cook our own meals, which made everything feel more relaxed and home-like. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we had a truly great stay

The hotel is in a good location to explore several regions of the island. Coffee is great and the breakfast options were worth it. The room is spacious and very quiet. The team was friendly and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. The car we rented broke and they even helped us get the car working again. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we will be back! ありがとうございます :)

The hotel is located very close to Miyako Airport and doesn't have a view of the ocean, but it was an incredible price at 10,000 yen for three people with breakfast included. It felt like a very clean business hotel. It seems to cater to many long-term guests, as we were able to use the laundry room and microwave.
The room also provided basic amenities like toothbrushes, body towels, and shampoo, but guests had to bring their own cotton balls and tea from the lobby on the first floor.
There was no lotion or other amenities, so guests had to bring their own.
There was no view of the ocean from the room, and there were neighboring buildings and plumbing, but it felt more like a single-person studio apartment.
The room did have a kettle, mugs, and a refrigerator, but no glasses.
Plates were available for rent at the front desk on the first floor.
I booked a plan with breakfast included, and the Miyako soba noodles I had for breakfast were not too strong and were very delicious.
All the hotel staff were also very kind, and the restaurant staff in particular kept a close eye on keeping the place clean and were very helpful with customer support, making breakfast a pleasant experience. Of course, everything was delicious.
You could even see the sunrise from the hotel, which was beautiful.
It's close to the airport, so if you arrive in Miyakojima late, this hotel might be a good choice if you're planning to stay overnight first.

mg37We stayed here for two nights out of the three nights we stayed in Miyakojima. All the hotels had washing machines in the rooms, so this may be the standard in Miyakojima, but it was helpful to have a washing machine in the room and a gas dryer on a different floor, although it was shared. We were going to go into the ocean, so there was a huge difference between going home without being able to do laundry and going home without doing it.
We were given shaved ice as a welcome gift, and my daughter was happy.
The hotel was right in the middle of the downtown area, so we found some delicious restaurants right away. If it wasn't a resort hotel, this was enough for our family. There were three beds, so we were able to sleep comfortably.

Guest UserThe sound of the wind coming from the air vent in the room was quite loud. The breeze was also refreshing. It was a shame that the cleaning was not so good in some areas.
The staff were very friendly and I was very satisfied.
The breakfast was also delicious.

Contrary to my expectations from the photos, the hotel turned out to be a disappointment.
First of all, the information on Trip.com does not match reality.
The site stated check-in from 2:00 and check-out until 11:00. In fact, check-in is from 3:00 and check-out is by 10:00. The staff gave no explanation for this discrepancy.
Secondly, the site confirmed a room in the new building. However, I was placed in the old building, which, judging by the exterior, looks like it was built in the 19th century. The room matched the condition of the building. All the furniture was very old and worn out, some even with mold. The view and access from the window was onto a shared balcony, which meant that to maintain privacy I had to keep the curtains closed at all times. The noise isolation was terrible — neighbors were loud from 7 AM to 11 PM, making it impossible to sleep. Speaking of the beds, the mattress was extremely hard and the pillows were stiff and uncomfortable.
As for breakfast: not only was it limited to 7–9 AM, but the website had advertised a buffet with both European and Japanese options. Upon arrival, it turned out that there were no European options at all, only a fixed Japanese set meal. The only good thing was that at least coffee was available.
The hotel has no beach, despite being close to the sea. There is only access to a rocky embankment, where swimming is unsafe.
I used the coin laundry service, paying 300 yen just for my clothes to be rinsed in water. There was no detergent provided, nor was it sold at the hotel — I had to go out and buy it separately. The dryer only partially dried the clothes, so I had to finish drying them in the room.
If you plan to come by car, keep in mind that there is no lighting in the surrounding area, so driving in such darkness doesn’t feel very safe.
Overall, if you are looking for a proper rest and relaxation, I cannot recommend this hotel at all.
